Yah. You are right. I checked my hard copy of the manual. It says 10K km. Thanks for clearing the confusion

Thanks, but still 5000kms should be the change interval. 10000kms is bit too much.

Yea. That feels gross. I too believe the engine oil should be replaced every 5000km. But we have the option to do that. Just ask the service guy to replace the oil in the second service. If you are ready to pay the amount, I dont think they would resist it. After all, new oil wont make any issues with the engine right. It is, in a way, good for the engine.

What will be the best lubricant for the dominar. Bajaj spray seems to dry way quickly. I thought of using motul. Is there any better lube?

Does anyone have the problem of engine rpm rising to 2500 when the clutch is pressed while slowing down? I am facing such issue. I purchased my bike on 27th october 2017 and the problem is there from day 1. Whether it is common to all the dominars or it is a problem. Does it requires ecu update. Since i had purchased it on oct'17 the bike may come with latest updated ecu or not.

I am facing a similar problem. The rpm wouldnt go down resulting in clanking sound of the gear. Showed in the svc. And they were adamant that this is very normal in dominars. And that the engine would smooth down after the first service.

Also, is anyone facing a squeaking kind of sound when the front brakes are applied?

My bike is only run 300kms and purchased last week. So i dont think the brake pads are worn out.

Any which is easily available, like rolon, 3m, waxpol, nulon, motul ,tvs or the generic lube. Or u can also use ep 90 grade gear oil.

For break sound try cleaning the rotor/disc first otherwise get the proper cleaning done.

For the rpm issue , if the rpm remains stuck at a particular point then it is an issue related to throttle body but if it comes down then things are ok. Then again get a second opinion from a diff svc and shoot a mail to bajaj get the throttle body inspected.

On self inspection, i just noticed there is no brake fluid in the front chamber. Kudos the quality management and the pdi team at bajaj😠

How did u check , did u open the container or on the window only sometimes it looks like there is nothing but there is.
Break wont work at all if there is no break oil.
Carefully open the container and check do not let any thing spill on paint.

Yes. From the outside i couldnt see any liquid. Will get it checked from the svc tomorrow. Hope its not something serious.
Thank you for your prompt response.

rpm does not stuck at a particular point it tends to rise only when clutch lever is pressed i.e. upto 2.5 thousand rpm and goes to normal within 2 to 3 sec i.e. 1.5 thousand rpm. It occurs in all gears.
