Hi Fellow owner,

If you can actually see the handlebar vibration at idle rpm then probably the handlebar mounts are loose and you can get this checked by a local mechanic as well. Like you have correctly mentioned the bike is relatively vibe free till 4000 rpms but the vibes exist in the 4-5.5 k rpm band after which the bike gets smoother. There will invariably be vibes in the seat and foot pegs. Other owners have resorted to using double sided tape under the tank and other places to reduce them, but to a certain degree only.

I am at 4000 kms plus now and the bike does get smoother over time.

Hi, let your bike run minimum 2k km. After 2k km vibration suddenly reduces to a great extent. In my case it was 2.3 k km. After crossing 2300 km my bike has become smoother. There is some vibes at 4.5 to 5k RPM but it is not like the initial days. Once i cross this zone the bike becomes smoother again. One more thing, this bike needs proper warm up before riding. If you warm it up properly (specially in the morning) the ride becomes smoother. Otherwise it gives vibrations.

Tightening of engine bolts : has anyone experienced benefit of this touted solution for reducing vibrations?
The SC is apparently awaiting kits from Bajaj for fuel tanks.
Bike still rides great, just feel more vibes on empty fuel tank and also on foot pegs now.

Nothing much, i asked service center guys tightened engine mounting bold. It doesn't made much difference. But as DJD said warming up engine before riding makes different. Svc guys said foot peg and handle bar vibes will go off after 2000 km then in second service they will open tank and stick tapes to reduce tank vibration.

Agree with the warm engine. I always wait 60 seconds after cold start but Bike rides great after 30 min of running.

Hello, i am looking to rent a Dominar for about 4 days in Mumbai. I have been hunting for more than a month now but the two plus dozen vendors i spoke to don't have one. Any leads?

Congrats mate. Could you please share your feedback in comparision to the P220 in terms of vibration, refinement, heaviness while driving inside the city etc.

Hi guys, I have done 3600 on the dom,
since last few days I feel that the vibrations have increased considerably. it was really smooth after 2000km but now there is more vibrations and feels like there is more engine braking, I doubt that it is time for an oil change or may be a second service.
Do you think it is ok to do the second service early on. My odo is 3600, and as of now this is 3 or 4 months before recommend interval.

Hi Friends,

I spotted this ultra comfortable looking seat from Dominar’s Trans Siberian Odyssey video at 0:40 mark. Link here: https://youtu.be/50LHUjVVCmo?t=37

Can somebody please help me finding such seat for my Dominar?

Thanks.

Probably running on half tank. I keep her full. She'll make less vibes and more miles per pitstop.

FI ensures that you dont have to worry about that since ECU deals with it. on that note, dont crank it hard if the bike doesnt start instantly. There could be bigger issue and cranking it hard can also cause insurance rejection.

they said that i need to apply both the brakes together. Effective breaking requires using both breaks in 80% (front) and 20% (rear). however, Dominar has dual channel ABS and has nothing to do with how you break or which break you use.
Yes, it becomes better with a few hundred kilometers but dont expect to be even half of how front break performs.

(Sorry for the rookie queries, i am coming from a karizma zmr. New to the abs & the brakes). No worries bro. arent we all? The only real difference is the clicks or jitters that tells you that you probably could have braked more effectively.

can you get more info on this? which ones did they use?
Thank you for your prompt response sir. Have been practising the braking on this one. But the brakes seem to be very poor when compared to my first gen karizma zmr. Lets hope they get better with time. 😅

I doubt the service guys might have filled 20W50 instead of 10W50 during first service. Few days back i got a call from my SA and he was telling that at around 3k - 3.5k KM i must go for second servicing coz bajaj engine oil is good for roughly 2.5 to 3k KM.

That'd be a real disappointment if true. The drain interval is 10k kms in the service manual and top up of the oil at 5.5k.
Though since it is synthetic it should last atleast 4k kms.

Are you sure about the 10K? As per my domi manual oil replacement frequency is every 5k kM and top up at every 2.5 k KM. Oil grade 10W50.

If I am not wrong this is not Indian spec manual pdf copy in the Indian manual it says bajaj dtsi not the grade and interval i 10k but better to change at 5k. This one here is shot of global spec manual pdf. thus only the grade is mentioned and interval is 5k
