    1. The side stand indicator doesnt seem to work anymore. earlier it used to show side stand led now it doesnt even if the stand is out.
    2. The bike has vibes in the 4k range and they are really irritating me. theres vibes on the handlebar s too.. maybe the first service will take care of that.
    3. Thud sound coming from the tail seat. Removed the toolkit but still there.. at this point dont know whats the cause
    4. The gearbox in lower gears isnt as refined.. tend to have a forced shift down in 2nd or 3rd gear.. the 6th gear is truly amazing to ride in..
    5. The fuel gauge doesnt update as we ride. it is only when the bike is switched off then on again you get an updated gauge. this is kinda scary for a tourer..
    6. Rear view mirrors are useless imho. need better mirrors .. barend mirrors maybe .. do these void warranty?
Apart from these.. Truly a wonderfull machine and an absolute VFM proposition from Bajaj.
    hey there,
    1. Side stand indicator glows only when the ignition switch is in ON position, double check that or get the sensor checked during first service.
    2. I have vibes only after 5.5 K rpm, did first service few days ago @ 650 KM and I broke in the engine using motoman method
    3. Thud sound gone after first service, probably has something to do with seat locking mechanism as I asked them to check that due to improper seat locking
    5. get the gauge checked, i can see the bars dropping in mine for every 100-150 km during continuous rides.

    happy riding!

Tyres changed to Michelin PSR yesterday. What is the pressure for the tyres? Is it same as Stock MRF tyres??

        Same size -> same pressure.

Thank You. My stock tyre lasted 20k Kms with 40% life remaining. But I changed because wet grip in corners is not good. Hope Michelin performs better in wet curves.

I have literally read through all the messages here. But, I am still super confused.

So, I basically only commute to office (<15 up and down on weekdays) and plan to head out on the open in weekends, assuming 100+ on weekends.
I currently own an Apache RTR 180 ABS, and my major requirements are reduced vibrations and a decent upgrade

Coming to the Dominar, I am slightly worried about the vibes, as I dont want another RTR level experience.
            Budget is not a problem

            Should I instead opt for a RR 310 or a Duke 390?

            Please help me
            Hi Raman,

When I bought the Dominar in Feb 2017 I had pretty much the same distance to office and had the same weekend requirements as you and Dominar suits me just fine. I changed jobs and now my one way commute is just 6 kms. Honestly, it bummed me out since I was riding the bike less and in the older route I did get a few empty stretches.

The bike definitely has vibes but since I have never ridden an Apache I cannot give you definitive guidance on whether it is less or more. Please try to gauge that yourself from the test ride bike. The Duke 390 is quite manic and honestly if you have the money and the need for the rush, go for it. There is no bike which offers that sort of performance under Rs 3 Lakhs and that too with decent reliability.

I would wait and watch a couple of months for the RR 310 for more ownership reviews to pour in if I were you. Finally, if you want absolute assurance of less vibrations then its best to go for the Japanese bikes. With the CBR 250 R re launched a couple of days ago, you have more options now.

              Hey, thanks for the response!
My daily one way commute is just 7kms, same as your current one.
Yes, I am trying to book a one day rental, they are just so sold out right now!

Regarding the Duke, I am not looking for manic, just a reliable and refined bike with comfortable ergonomics. Not sure how the new 390 will work for touring, so that's a major question mark.

Nah man, not the CBR250R, it is hardly an upgrade, rather shell out extra and get an R3 later than a CBR now.

Well its more refined than the Dominar but again its not a forte of the Duke. Dominar is like a grown up and Torquier NS 200. The Duke 390 is a acceleration junkie. I think it will overheat in B2B traffic. Nothing that will shut the engine down but the heat will be felt through the formal trousers you wear to work. Bear that in mind. I have an acquaintance who does some amount of touring on the bike and he has no complaints.

Touring with the new model? I know the old one was more suited, but the new one is more committed .

I just sat on the new one, did not feel any perceptible difference in the riding position. Perhaps it is so, cant be sure.
