Hi Hyper Riders,

Just wanted to know in 2018 Dominar 400 some of the 2017 niggles like throttle glitch at times, high frequency vibes @4000rpm solved right out of the box?

I understand that vibes will certainly reduce after first two services post 5000 kms.

My post is mainly regarding the ECU update. Has the update taken care of these issues nicely in 2017 bikes too, and kept them down without interfering too much.

Bajaj Dominar 400 ABS only, non-ABS discontinued


With India gearing up for ABS or CBS in new bikes launched, henceforth Bajaj Dominar 400 ABS is the only availability since non-ABS version is no longer in demand.

But dealer gave me an option for AMC.. This is new, haven't heard that for bikes.. I will check details on what is covered & what is not and update here..

AMC is an Annual Maintenance Contract. Its not associated with Extended Warranty. I know about Honda's AMC but dint know Bajaj provided one either. Is it an official Bajaj AMC or it is a Dealership AMC? Below is a pic of Honda's AMC: https://www.honda2wheelersindia.com/...s/honda-shield

Do confirm that because on Bajaj's website theres no mention of any kind of AMC.

Fellow riders,

Finally booked Blue dominar from Popular bajaj, BG road( next to ktm). PDI tomorrow and delivery on 14th March.
Really excited to get on board with the group.
Any final pointers for tomorrow. Will get the checklist from here.

Final OTR is 1,97,274. There is a price increase of 2k as someone suggested.
Have attached the price break up.
Let me know in anything is inaccurate/avoidable.
Also i will get the vin/chassis number tomorrow. Is there anyway i can decode that?

Has anyone bought a cover for dominar. Please suggest it from Amazon or any other site. I've tried from the market but they are saying it's not waterproof. So suggest if anyone has tried from Amazon. Thanks

Yeah..but it is not available in black I think. Orange is too flashy and have you used it? Does It works against rain?

There is a black option on their website.
Friends with Duke 390 are using it and they say it's really premium.

Khivraj dealer, Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu has insisted that they will not waive off the handling charges.. This is really bad.. I would like to bring it to attention of Bajaj.. If anyone has contact of regional sales / service manager of Bajaj south, please pass it here (or) kindly PM me..

Why the heck handling charges ? .. Already they are making money in the form of registration (RTO) charges..
