Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
What would u like to achieve by it , the revv limiter would be 11.5k with powertronics. And top speed is around 174kmph. But the bike can do 160kmph or above in the stock form. But again where are we going to use this speed on Unsafe Indian roads and busting the hell out of the engine. You can also achieve better top speed and linear power by employing smaller rear sprocket at a much lesser price.Originally posted by joeblack16v View Post

Yes the switch is not waterproof , but i haven't faced any issues till now. Think of covering it up to make it waterproof. You can buy new switch from ur local auto part shop.Originally posted by jagaddjag View PostSwitch that came with this 30 modes adapter acting wierd after riding in foggy climate for about 30 mins, i know it is not a water proof switch. What exactly is the issue u r facing. First check the earth connection if u have fixed it to the riders seat bolt, change it to one of the bolts near the grab rail. The riders seat bolt can break the wire happened with me.

Here is my video for the biggest Hyper meet yet for Delhi NCR.
The hyper meet with TSO riders.
It was really a huge gathering with official count of 262 bike including 192 Dominars and 70 other bikes. The unofficial count is even more.
Video is bit long and would seems raw. But i am still a novice with this thing and currently this is the best i could do with the limited time i have.

Switch is not waterproof but it is still working for me after 7 months and multiple washes and rains.Originally posted by jagaddjag View PostSwitch that came with this 30 modes adapter acting wierd after riding in foggy climate for about 30 mins, i know it is not a water proof switch. Yes it acts weird after full wash and rains but after an hour it gets back to normal. So far good.
Think you can get waterproof switches in Amazon.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Actually I ridden my bike around 30 mins in heavy fog. Once i nearing my place i tried to switch off the flasher, but it doesn't respond so switched off my bike and restarted. When in try to switch on the flasher it doesn't respond all of sudden flasher blinks in half way. I haven't ridden my bike for past 3 days, so dont know about the status as of now.Originally posted by Ijs View PostYes the switch is not waterproof , but i haven't faced any issues till now. Sorry, no issues now. Switch works just fine with out any issues. It could be the water droplets made that glitch....Originally posted by jagaddjag View PostActually I ridden my bike around 30 mins in heavy fog. Does anyone here know whether bajaj has stopped production of the earlier colours? I dont like the golden rims on the 2018 version. Do they still make the earlier matte black version or is it just the 3 new colours which i will get if i opt for a bike from the new lot?Inline-4 Stomach.

Assumingly, the new lot would be available in new colours only & the old colours wouldn't be available. That's the pattern usually followed across industry.Originally posted by nats View PostDoes anyone here know whether bajaj has stopped production of the earlier colours? Though no official statement has been given on this.
If you go the website on the homepage, still old dominar image is present however when you land on Dominar page, the colour options availabe are only the new ones. The reference images used in description also have the golden alloys.
So, it's safe to assume that only new colour scheme would be available.

If the color of the rims is your only concern, then it can be fixed easily.Originally posted by nats View PostDoes anyone here know whether bajaj has stopped production of the earlier colours? Go to the showroom, and talk to the manager, tell him straight away that you want to buy the bike but with black rims. Offer him booking amount, so that he knows you are not fooling around. In the hopes of making a good sale, the manager will agree to swap the rims. You see, a showroom always have spare parts in their inventory (in case someone crashes and they need new parts and panels). Its a easy job to swap the rims, even panels on a new bike.
Most showroom agree to do these small things for free or for a small amount in hopes of making a sale. Try out different showrooms, I'm sure one of them will agree to do it for you.I would like to thank my legs for supporting me, my arms for being always by my side and my fingers; I could always count on them.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Bajaj have their own brand engine oil and brake fluid that is only used in factory bikes . If your bike is still under warranty take it to the SVC they'll fill it up if not under warranty drain the engine oil and put motul 7100 10w50 or 20w50 depending on your requirementOriginally posted by joeblack16v View PostAnybody knows what is the brand and type of oil that bajaj put in their engines when leaves the factory? The problem is that i bought my bike some days ago and i have to fill it up with oil because the mark is in the min mark
