If it is strictly for city, mostly in traffic, I would recommend you to get FZ25 instead. Lighter weight, easier to park, WAY easier U turns, almost as fast till 100 kmph, lesser heat, Yamaha's reliability and cheaper too.

Got mine delivered yesterday and I'm loving each and every part of the ride.
I switched from Thunderbird 350 and I find Dominar as easy as my old Pulsar 150 in B2B Chennai traffic. I couldn't feel that the bike is actually 180+ Kg, it bends and turns very easily on narrow spaces. I think I have made the right decision choosing D400

forget speed, do not exceed 4000-4500 RPM in any gear until 1000 km and 5500-6000 RPM until 2000 km.

Re: Sound coming from Dominar 400
While you ride and hear the sound keep accelerated on the same rpm where you hear the sound and do touch every plastic fibre part.. you'll come to know what exactly is making the sound.. I did the same thing.. also you mentioned that you hear it from the gear pedal ..so I'll suggest you to check the play on pedal.Originally posted by sanatsoumyakant View PostHi Guys,
I bought my Dominar 400 a month back and did first service couple of days back. After it's done, I am hearing an irritating shrill noise coming from gear paddle area whenever I accelerate and the sound goes away while leave the throttle. When I checked this with service center, they said its normal. But this sound was not there before the servicing.
I am not sure if anybody came across this issue and any fix?
Thanks,
Sanat

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hi Guys,
Been a long time away from the forum..but a niggle got me back here
So, the niggle I'm facing is there since last 15 days..When I am trying to keep the bike at a steady speed for example, 55 in 4th gear, after holding onto the speed their is a slight but sudden dip that forces me to open the throttle again..that way, I'm unable to cruise at a steady speed for any stretch of time..due to this, I'm always in a constant acceleration or decelaration..please advise what to do..
Got the bike's last service also done in the meanwhile & it was fine for couple of days but now the niggle has crept back up..
FYI, I had installed the new highway flasher about 20 days back..followed the instructions provided in the tutorial video to the T..not sure if that could be a possible culprit..
Plz help

Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Guys booked Dominar 2018 Canyon Red( looks good!) @ Jai Bajaj Tambaram Sanatorium- Chennai. Spoke to the owner and shared issues related to Dominar and NS200 (all from XBhp threads) and he even waived off 2% fee on credit card transaction( what a nice man!). Got his business card also.!
