Bought the bike about 20 days back and this is my first riding experience in India. done about 1400 KM. So for i really like the bike apart from vibrations...but again for 2L there is nothing more you can ask for. And had a little strange experience in one of the group while asking about where i can get traction pad for tank..and got answers like it's just rubber with 3M tape and all. Am i missing something here because for me it's one of the essential and provide really strong grip when you are in full riding gear.

How does the bike behave on off-roads ? I still have to try and see that but i think in muddy condition it will be problematic because of the ABS.
It behaves pretty well never felt any un wanted stuff , it steers well and always in control all depends on ur throttle input.
Done quite a bit of off road on it now this is the 4th time, but his is the first time i had a camera on.

If u are looking for tanks side grip to place ur thighs in too then yes there are options available , and yes rubber with 3m will also do. Seen what u are looking for in a fb post will share if i find it again.

So I had a chance to hear a Dominar at some good revs.
Oh man, it is possibly the best sounding single cylinder bike in India. It does sound pretty close to multi-cylinder sweet motors.
The more reasons I think of keeping my P220, the more reasons Dominar gives to upgrade. [emoji23][emoji23]

          No no no.
This is not fair. I cannot start drooling over at 5:15 in the morning. [emoji28][emoji28]
Dominar is perhaps the most under appreciated performance oriented baby missile bike ever in India.
Looks simple yet matured, has ample performance to keep the fun quotient high and is easy on pocket too I guess.
It lacks Airbags otherwise Maruti Alto or Renault Kwid sales would have gone down massively [emoji23]

Ordering a new Dominar today at Khivraj Bajaj Indiranagar, Bangalore.

I have been using Michelin Pilot Street Radial tyres on my previous bike and am not too keen on using the MRF Tyres which come stock with the Dominar.
Is there any place is Bangalore that will give me a discount on Michelin Pilot Street Radials in exchange for brand new MRF Tyres?

Thanks I’m advance for your help

Who did you speak to at the indiranagar showroom?

There are couple of popular tyre shops on Indiranagar double road (opposite the showroom) where you can enquire.

I spoke to Emmanuel. I haven’t spoken specifically about the tyres. Plan to do that before ordering the bike.

Emmanuel is the right sales guy for the Dominar. I'm not sure if Khivraj has options to change the tyres. Worse case scenario, just ride down the opposite road (towards ESI hospital) and you'll find couple of tyre showrooms (Sai tyres if I remember vaguely) to enquire.

Been 15 months and no breakdown. But today Dominar would not start. I heard a clicking sound when pressing the start button but no action from the starter. Good thing i signed up for road side assistance. Got the bike towed to SC.
                        Let's see what they say.

                          Battery seems to be kaput.

I also had a similar issue, and the solution was to reconnect/tighten the ignition cables to the battery on the left hand side of the bike. Is the engine light 'on' on the petrol tank indicator dashboard? I had it glowing.

I have one concern though. The test bike had the speedometer disabled and ODO stuck at 1km.
This seems fishy. Can I be sure they won't be selling me such a test bike?
