Try and hold the bar as lightly as u can a tight grip causes more issues, use ur legs to hold the bike.Originally posted by pranesh112 View Poststeering damper is used for reducing chance of tank slapper , where i live roads are not that good and have felt that at high speed hand

Looks like you guys had fun[emoji108]. Eagerly waiting for such event in Bengaluru. I was not even added to blr Dominar group(official) yet(if there is such thing) currently nearing 2k mark. Bike is wonderful albeit some vibrations.Originally posted by Ijs View PostThis time we did a proper off road adventure at a purposefully built off road circuit.
Off road adventure zone, gurugram , gurugram faridabad road.
It was a great learning experience. Learned few new tricks to tackle the off road.
All bikes were on stock tires except for 2 which were on perilli Rosso 2.
Kept the video in 2x speed to make it short.
Thanks to bajaj for this event.

Thanks brother.Originally posted by sun105 View Postamazing video it gave me goose pimples, please share with us new and old tricks to tackle the off road
Yes we too had goose pimples, as there was a re group doing the circuit before us and in that even the mighty himaliyan was struggling , only a guy on classic did it smoothly.
Tips and tricks for off road.
1 once on the move forget that u have clutch keep a steady throttle and try not to let the bike stall.
2 use rear break.
3 Have a very light grip on the bar, use ur legs to grab the bike steer with ur body and legs.
4 while going up hill shift the weight forward and for down hill shift the weight backwards.
5 dont be afraid of a fall.
6 stand on the pegs for small bumpy patch in fact standing helps in all cases.
7 learn to control the throttle
8 avoid use front break.
9 we did the entire thing in first gear only it has ample tourqe to let u glide.
10 do not panic and start paddling use throttle.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Lluvia visor is not that great, as there are vibrations even when i do 80. I found the sahyadri much better. I have both.
Dont go for the NS either, it sits on the doom, vibrates. Lluvia is not that bad compared to NS. but not a worthy buy.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Thank you. Just the kind of advice I was looking for. What about the 25mm handlebar raisers. I am 6'4 and I believe an elevated handle would enhance my riding experience.Originally posted by srinikasyap View PostLluvia visor is not that great, as there are vibrations even when i do 80. Are there any complications i should be worried about?

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Even i feel the fuel lid heat up.. Its just been around 500 kms. Since it is still under break in period i don't rev the engine high... But i am concerned if the lid heats up more during long rides... Is there anything to worry?Originally posted by connoisseur.rohit View PostHey Buddies,
Got my white D400 today, rode around 30 Kms in Bangalore traffic. Few observations -
1. I am used to riding P200 DTSi, so found D400 quite hot in bumper to bumper traffic, esply, around the tank-pad area and felt the seat getting heated up too sometimes. I assume it could be because of regular clutch usuage and gear-changes(keeping the RPMs < 4k). Finding it really tough(have to check the speedo again n again and remind myself) to switch from 1st to 2nd at around 11 km/hr as suggested in manual.
2. Once parked, and after around 10 mins of ride, the petrol flap and area around it gets heated up. Is it because of heat-transfer from the FI-Pump ?
Any suggestions would help..
Cheers,
Rohit
Help would be appreciated. Currently riding in the fear of tank blast due to heat :P

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Nothing to worry it is happening due to airtight fuel cap complying with bs4 norms. Just open the lid once u stop after a hot ride to let the gases escape if u r facing lag or jerks in hot bike, also before the ride fo the same. And try to park in shade but avoid trees in this stormy weather.Originally posted by Prasadcool09 View PostEven i feel the fuel lid heat up.. Its just been around 500 kms. I've got the risers from Carbon racing. Used them for a 400 km weekend trip and removed them. PM if you want to try these.Originally posted by TheSolution View PostI am planning to get the Lluvia Handle bar raisers and their adjustable visor.
