Riding with pillion is easier than before ie. Lesser gear shifts low down.
Have tanked up yesterday itself will update the milage when I fill her up again.
As of now getting 35/36 strictly on highway (speeds maintained under 90kmph)
City use I get 26/28kmpl (I am not very sane in city)

    Have a question
Does the duke front brake pads fit dominar? Direct fit? Also are those sintered?

Will be ordering ebc for the rear soon but did not see anything for the front end.
    Thanks for feedback.
No duke front pads wont fit, but why do u need sintered pads. If the chuchu sound is ur only problem then clean the pads and rotor it would be resolved.
Sintered or semi sintered pads would creat some noise after a while when compare to organic pads.
I have been using the bike since jan 2017 and never found the breaks to be lacking.
Yes the rear is soft but it is kept soft for a reason, u need to use front more to stop the bike , rear is used to control the bike.

Make a habit to clean the disk regularly with wet or moist cloth to avoid the chuchu sound.
For ecb/ebc pads i dont have much idea.
Current organic pads are good enough and are cost effective too.

Completely agree with your observation [emoji108]
Same here mine is a first batch dominar too! With 400cc written on the engine [emoji14] !

Yes the brakes are not bad but wanted to try out the sintered pads.
I'll be going for a long ride down south via konkan during rains hence looking for good pads 😀

In rains rear pads tend to become more soft and feel like wood.

        Hey guys,
I've done 300 kms on my Dominar and I feel that sometimes there is a certain lag in the engine. Almost similar to what Carburettor bikes have when they are running low on fuel. I wonder what that is about. Thoughts?

Less fuel in Hot summer might be causing vapour lock.
If the bike is parked in hot environment, before you start riding, open the fuel filler cap and do a small Shakira Shake.
Close the fuel filler cap and ride the bike.
          That should help.

            Hi Guys,
I plan to install Aux lights and a phone charger on the Dominar.
I have installed these before previously on my FZ and am comfortable with wiring work.
However, I want to know where in the Dominar I can tap into power which is controlled by the ignition switch.
If any of you have made these modifications, could you please help me with the wiring?

Hey. I park the bike indoors so shade wasn't an issue. The one time I parked it in the heat, I did open the tank for sometime and _did the shake_.
Has to be some other reason then.
              Thanks!

                Nope. But recharging battery helped.

Good catch, that's what the SC said. They recharged and it's fine now.
BTW would putting in gear and pushing help to jump start?

Going for new tyres soon. Got a quote of 7300 for mrf revz pair. Did not get a single puncture so far. So tempted to go for mrd again.
Monsoon just around the corner and i have done 16500 on the current set. Some strange bulges on the rear at a couple of places so gotta change.
The michelin guy is offering made in India at 10000 plus per pair.
Seeking last minute suggestions, please help.

MRF revz is a good tyre. Had it on my R15 and in fact had MRF on all my bikes till date.
Never tried Michelin but reading it from some pages here and there, some of their tyres or rather variants were not that great.
Go by the gut feeling. If you are confident on MRF and it was happy during last rains then it should be a good one to bet on.
Dominar owners are better suited to answer this if they had done it.

You're probably in the 6th gear at 3k rpm. That's way too low for the 6th gear and it's meant for speeds greater than 70kmph. If you drop the speed to 55 and accelerate in6th then you'll feel that chocking sort of feeling. Just downshift.

That will have the latest map.
Most vibes settle out after 4k kms.
                        Using motul dampens them more.
Get the foundation bolt tightened along with all panel screws!
Yes 4k to 5k rpm is the transition period of dominar [emoji23]
It transforms from human to animal hence the vibes.
                        Enjoy your ride!

The svc guys said they tightened it but I didn't feel any difference . Oh well they're gonna show some expert. Let's see who it is.

Ah. I probably felt it could be caused by lower RPM in the higher gears. I was doing 63 on the 6th when I revved up. Probably my fault. Thanks!

63kmph or 64kmph in 6 cog sseems smooth.
I did have the chocking feeling earlier.

That's what I ment when I mentioned that the bike pulls clean low down 😀.

I'll update about the milage as I have a ride planned and will clock some good kms on the bike!

Also I am due fro 1st paid serving next month so oil, oil filter along with air filter will be changed.

If its feeling good at current state it will definitely be a notch better after the serving 😉

Yes the dhaka start will work with a weak battery.
For tyres , here in delhi a fellow grp member recently paid 2800 for front and 3500 for rear MRF tyres at authorized mrf showroom, with proper bill and warranty.

Micheline is good but it has slight suction kind of noise when it stick to the road. I guess in ur part of world tyre prices are on higher sides.
One of my tyre dealer friend recently picked a lot of perilli , these were 2016 and 2017 manufacturing tyres and he is a whole seller so he was selling it at incredibly low price. These tyres have 10 years of life and comes with proper gst bill.
                              Germany manufactured.
