My bad, you are right. The top speed should increase and torque would drop.
If it's a better ride after reducing to 42 teeth let us know. Also what will be chain length with the new rear sprocket.

Don't worry paint quality is really good no need for any film or something. But you can if want on top of the tank but again it would come off.
Just keep soft cloth to clean and avoid using dry cloth on dust always use a damp cloth. You can opt for ceramic coating or some paint sealant like 3m if you like.

Your expectations aren't from this domain.
You might want to look at sub 250cc segment.
I would suggest fz25 or fazer25. Both are really good bikes. Milage should stay above 35kmpl with above average touring capabilities.
Lack of ABS is the only downside.

If riding style is normal, i agree with xeo. Fz25 it is. If it's safety then 200 ns or gixxer 180 with abs when it comes out. Why buy the Dominar.

            Hi!
If you are going from 45 to 42, you are reducing the available torque and increasing the top speed (as you mentioned).
But how is this helpful in traffic?
Reduced torque means lesser pull below 3k RPM. Correct?
I was thinking about going from 45 to 46 to get that little extra grunt.
Help me understand this logic again.

              Guys
Yesterday I clocked 1k in my odo. So thought of Rev the bike to high speed. But after I cross 75 that is above 4000 rpm, there is lots of vibration coming. What to do about this?

The bike seems to like the 4000 rpm band and vibrates to share it with you.
Don't worry, you will get used to it by staying within 4000 or over 5000 where it's less bothersome.
Also go to sc to get it check if they dkink its normal.

Also I have a silly doubt. Engine oil is below the marked level but after doing some distance it comes to just above the marked level. Is it ok or should it be full while not using the bike itself.

There are 2 levels min and max. Ideal if seems to me is just above the min at cold when perfectly vertical. This jumps to max after riding.
The argument is that you need oil to lube but not too much that it gets splashed and starts working against the engine. So you are good but monitor regularly as level drops after 1000 kms. You will need to top up.

The drive shaft is connected to the front Sprocket so if you reduce the teeths in the rear Sprocket pickup drops, top speed gains and if u increase the teeths in the rear Sprocket pick up gains, top speed drops.

Consider both as pulleys. If the front pulley[fp] is small and rear pulley[rp] is big then fp has to rotate more than once to make the rp rotate once. Hence the increase in pick up, but due to taller gear ratio you have to keep the engine revving high to extract ťhat performance gain like does 390. More gear knocking if you don't keep it above certain rpm.

If the size of the rp is reduced and as is gets identical to the fp then they start rotating at same speeds. Hence drop in pick up and shorter gear ratio. You can shift more quickly without revving high and stay in the same gear at lower speed. Since you are not revving it increases your mileage as well.

The SC would keep saying that slack setting is ok to a loose chain until recently i started getting bothersome in chain noise. I would only hear that though when not wearing a helmet which I usually never do. Meaning i never hear the chain noise. But recently vibrations increased a lot numbing fingers too often. I could feel it in the seat and tank too.
But bothered by the noise, i decided to set the slack to approx 35 mm. Now the ride is much smoother.

Will post pic but I am slightly beyond the third line at approx 10000 kms on odo. So pretty close to where you are.

Hi guys . I have done around 6500 on my dominar . Two services done . Recently while riding in bumper to bumper traffic , I am experiencing that the bike handle slightly tilts to the left while applying brakes . Because of that my left hand pains a lot and feels numb. Before I go to the SC , please let me know what would be the cause here ?? Air pressure is normal in both tires and filled with nitrogen also recently ..

I adjusted this setting today only and at 3rd line or beyond it was getting too tight but when i got the bike it was at third and no sound came from chain but at first service mechanic adjusted it between 2nd and 3 rd mark when the noise from front sprocket start coming . I am yet to ride it too see the difference.

And a question to everyone can we adjust slackness without loosening rear axle nut?
