Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
According to me, as long as the service is done from an Bajaj A.S.S, it doesn't matter. At the end, whoever takes care of your bike the best is whom you'll continuing going to.Originally posted by TheSolution View PostWind in my hair.... and I'm semi bald...

Bhai I also have P220 and apache 180 and I am using dominar for daily commute in bumper to bumper traffic instead of P220 or A180 so you can understand dominar capability in traffic, for highway cruising net is full of review .it is fully VFM productOriginally posted by Akash.Yadav View PostHi D400 owners. And I was thinking about dropping off 220 and R15 and switch to Dominar altogether for both duties - purchasing vegetables and satifying the biker me. [emoji23]

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
I'm not sure if the Dominar is meant for day to day utilities kind of job. It takes time to get used to constant gear changing, but is an absolute pleasure to ride. Getting on the bike is what I look forward to everyday!! But as they say, the bike chooses the rider. So take a TD and see whether the Dominar is something you'll want.Originally posted by Akash.Yadav View PostWoah!!

No doubts on the touring capabilities of the bike.Wind in my hair.... and I'm semi bald...

Thanks bhai. I did take a test ride of Dominar just now.Originally posted by sanjeet286 View PostI'm not sure if the Dominar is meant for day to day utilities kind of job. Onroad is 185xxx, Pune for ABS model.
It is a heavy bike on paper however, the weight seems to vanish as it moves. Took a pillion rider too and it is a good bike to jump to. Loved it.Regards,

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
I can't think of anyone who wouldn't love the bike after a TD. We in Bangalore pay close to 198k for onroad ABS. Challenge is to control yourself from opening the throttle and letting the bike fly, but responsible riding is what's reqd (and investment in good protective gears).Originally posted by Akash.Yadav View PostThanks bhai. Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hello All,
Completed 10k kms last week and had my 3rd service done from Kanchan Bajaj, Ulhasnagar, Mumbai. Below are the list done in servicing:
1. Oil change
2. Oil Filter change
3. Air filter change
4. Cone set change
5. Chain overhauling done
6. Rear Brake Pads changed
7. FI cleaned up
Total Charge - Rs.2900/-
Now, took my Fury for a spin and was running very smoothly. Vibrations are almost none even at 4.5 RPM. Acceleration feels brutal now. Gear shiftings are smooth.
However, as soon as I completed 70-80 kms after the service, there was a noise coming from rear wheel. The noise is same as the noise which comes from trucks when brakes are applied. Initially, it was coming only when brakes were applied.
Now, after 50 kms run and some resting time, whenever the bike get's in motion, the sound reappears without even braking.
But, as soon as I cross 25kmph mark, the sound disappears.
Went to Service centre with this issue and they cleaned the rear brake pads and delivered the bike.
Again, after 45-50 KMS, the sound has reappeared. I checked the oil level too and it is almost full.
The brakepads are new too so no issue on that.
What can be the issue? Can anyone help with their views? It doesn't matter what you ride. What matters is, You Ride.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Doesn't look like it was cleaned and lubricated properly. Did they fit the brake pads properly as in the side that should face the disc should be the pad area and not the holder it comes in. I doubt they'll make a mistake like this but then can't rule out the possibility.Originally posted by nishiparate View PostHello All,

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
There has been no leak after it was fixed by service center.. Did the 1st service too.. Finally they waived off water wash chargesOriginally posted by elangoas View Post2nd Update : Service center delivered the bike duly attended.. They said that oil sensor that is connected to the engine was faulty (defective washer/similar ones) and hence caused oil leak.. When i asked for a defective part that they changed (to take picture), they said the head office service center had taken it
.. They also topped up the engine oil.. After topping up, bike felt smoother than before..
Anyways, it didn't leak today after they fixed.. Will ride for some more kms and observe for any leak & then get the 1st servicing done..
Bajaj Service center was quick to follow-up the issue with me and swiftly resolved it.. Happy they fixed it sooner..
after much reasoning.. Filled up Shell Advance 15w 50 synthetic engine oil.. crossed 1,000 Kms on ODO, genuinely pushing the bike to 5,500 RPM or slightly more.. the red indicator blinks when the bike crosses 106Kmph on speedo.. This bike grabs some eye balls because of the bright LED head lamps..
Enjoying commute now.. Itz fun..

Clean the rotor/disk with acetone don't use diesel or any other oil based thing. And make a habit to regularly cleaning both front and rear rotors with wet cloth it will help in noise issue.Originally posted by nishiparate View PostHello All,

Other thing is, if the pads are ok the u need to look into the piston of the caliper it might not be opening and closing properly due to dust, so here u need to remove the caliper and clean it with diesel or WD-40 and apply piston Grease or break fluid.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
We have different group for each dealership here in delhi, these groups have rides organized officially by bajaj under Hyper rides banners. Ask your local dealer for the same. DOC is not the official bajaj group and here their only relationship with bajaj is the Dominar , it is more like a private club / group.Originally posted by Sagar aher View PostIs there any dominar 400 WhatsApp group! Most Dominar owners misunderstand DOC and Official Bajaj Hyper rides. Here in Delhi DOC do not participate in Bajaj riders.
If you wish to join DOC in ur city contact them via their Facebook page and for Hyper rides group ask your dealership.
