Dominar soaks in quite a bit in early days. I had to rush to service center within a week, I remember. Symptoms were same, fan running frequently and engine heat felt on thighs.
Thanks for the note. Coolant is the same level as of day 01. They had marked the level during their PDI and its the same as of today as well :-(

If all these are ok the it could only be a malfunction of light or oil pressure sensor.
      Do get it checked.
Engine Oil and Coolant are all ok...and I got the sensor changed too...even then the problem is still persisting...The oil light lights up when ever i am accerelating quickly. And when i am nt doing the same, then the Oil Indicator doesnt light up.
And the service center guy are are not able to cure the problem.

And from the past 2 months I am also facing the problem rpm fluctuation..when ever i start the bike, its doesnt feel right..as the need is to race the bike more in order to make the engine nt to kill by itself...even some times whenever i am riding...the bike engine kills by itself sometimes whenever i pull the clutch lever...

Did they connect the ecu to obd device and read the error log and did they fund any thing in that?

The oil warning light coming up could be due to a weak oil pump, which is not providing enough pressure.

Now for the rpm fluctuations , this is 99percent related to issue with fi system , mainly throttle body and a weak stepper motor. Stepper motor is a small dc motor placed before throttle body and it controls the final fuel injection cycle.
One owner from bareilly was also suffering from these fluctuations his rpm was dropping to 1k and bike was stalling and the local service center there was not able to find the solution, i also suggested him to ask them to check , clean or replace the throttle body and the stepper motor.
So the complied and did the same.
They cleaned the throttle body and also found the stepper to be weak and they replaced the same. Before doing all this they have tried replacing the evap system and main ecu hardware but that didn't work.
So final diagnosis was a weak stepper motor and carbon deposit in throttle body.
Now his bike is running fine with new stepper motor and new throttle body.

If the above doesn't work the they need to look into the fuel pump.

And i also recommend to get fresh oil and get the all the 3 spark plugs inspected and clean and adjust the gap.

And finish the process with reflashing the ecu with correct files clear the log.

Hello Hello, I finally took the plunge and went for the Dominar. Choice of bike was mine, the choice of color was of my wife (Matte Black). Paid Rs 196k on road and went for the PFz puncture gel for the tyres (1k for it). I did a quick PDi of the bike (will share the list shortly). Booking was done at Khivraj Bajaj Domlur, Bangalore. The salesperson (Emmanuel) and the store manager (Arvind) were fantastic. Really helpful and patient to listen to my queries. They allowed me to choose the bike from a stock of 3 that had just come. I picked up a MT Revenge (from Moto Armour Whitefield) for about 7.5k. Ram was extremely nice and guided me through the fitting process. He's the main retailer for MT Helmets in Bangalore.

Overall, the performance is fantastic (I upgraded from a 18yr old Splendor ). My riding style is quick shifts and hence trying to match the speed to the right gear. Took the bike for a short ride on Hosur road (150kms) overall. I keep my speeds to a max of 60 for the first 500kms. Not sure if I can push it to bit higher (I'd love to). got a mileage of 30 as of now.
          Few minor concerns/issues:
          (1) Observed that bubbles in the oil window next to my engine (service guy said its normal)
          (2) Need to get used to the clutch during B2B traffic. Palms really hurt but getting used it it gradually
          (3) The radiator comes on pretty frequently (in Bangalore!!). Spoke to the sales guys and also service centre and they said that it's completely normal since Summer has started in Blr too
          (4) Engine Shut down - The only disappointing bit is that my bike suddenly shut down when I was at speeds of around 20-25 last Monday (09-Apr). The engine refused to start post that. After giving it few mins of rest, it finally started up but the engine indicator was on. I couldn't go the service centre right away. When I finally managed to go in the evening, the bike behaved absolutely normal. The engine indicator as well disappeared. Service guy told me to observe for few more days and come back if there is a problem (attaching couple of pics including tonight's issue).

And go back will I. Today evening (on my way back from work), the same problem occurred. Was moving up from the lower gears, and the bike suddenly lost power and shut down. I took a video of the same. Had to wait for few more mins and then ride back home. Service guy asked me to come in the morning to investigate. The radiator was more or less on during my ride back home (approx 5kms).
Disappointed that I'm facing such issues when I have spent so much on a bike. Really hoping that its a minor issue. Was planning on a ride on NICE road, but have to scrap that now.

Hoping to get some guidance on the above points from this forum. Thanks in advance.

Also, would anyone know how to get added to the DOC Bengaluru whatsapp group? I'm getting an error stating that the group is full
          - I had similar but strange issue once where the bike got switched off while starting from rest(I was in wrong gear 2nd or 3rd). The oil warning light was on and the vehicle didn’t start even when it was in Neutral. But it started once I turned off the ignition key and turned it on again.

          - even I had bubbles in the oil before 1st service- now no issue

          - radiator fan will work overtime (especially during summer) when you are in stop and go traffic- I had same experience with my Duke 200 - so no need to panic.

          Happy riding ! [emoji1303]

                  Hi guys,
Today morning noticed oil leaking through right side front fork. And I am pretty sure its because of oil seal issue (I had faced the same in my Duke 200, twice.!). And this is caused due to dust and sand entering the bottom tube and messing up the close tolerance of the seal.
So my warning to all my fellow dominarians is to fit a rubber boot or shock absorber sleeve to prevent this.

                    Hi Sanjeet,

I have faced this and my bike is from the first batch. The issue in my case was a cleanup required of the throttle body. The longer you delay this, the more frequent it will become. I would advise you to take some time out and take it to the SVC and ask the service advisor to look into it. If you give them specific instructions and also where to look, they can get it done quickly.

                    Hope this helps.

Dominar Owners of Bangalore, which showroom do you guys suggest I should go to. I live in Nagavara and a lot of people have warned me against both Khivraj Indranagar and Kalyani Bajaj in Mekhri circle. I would like to test drive the bike a few times also.

Hi Vikram, I did take it to the service place and the guys connected the obd machine and identified a loose connection in the electricals to the engine. The service guy did his thing and the bikes fine after that, but tell me to keep an eye out if the issue comes up again. I'll mark this answer to come back incase the issue pops up again.

I have bought my bike from Indiranagar and the folks there were fantastic. Arvind (Manager) and Emmanuel (Dominar sales guy) were very helpful. They were actually the only branch to offer me a test ride out of the 5 other centres I went to.

                            Oh that's great. Thank you.
I have seen several Google reviews of the place and everything points out to the fact that they are unprofessional when it comes to ASS and do not help out much. So I wanted to cross verify the same here.

Oh wait. You looking for the A.S.S or a place to buy the bike from? I bought mine from Indiranagar, but have taken my bike to Khivraj Marathalli once for a quick checkup (I stay nearby). Met a guy named Subu who is the Dominar specialist there. Manager is Gururaj. I don't have any experience about the A.S.S of Khivraj indiranagar as yet.

                                Sales and then the A.S.S.

I generally prefer to get everything done from the same place. But this works too. So buy from Khivraj Indranagar, and then get the A.S.S done elsewhere?
