Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hi - I too felt the need for gear shift indicator during initial couple of weeks. Later when you get used to the bike, just by looking at the speed and rpm we can easily relate it to the gear we are in. Now I do not feel the absence of gear indicator at all. So I suggest you ride the bike for few weeks and then decideOriginally posted by Sujitjad View PostI am new to this forum.
Just bought dominar 400 ABS.
Bike performance is very good, Major missing thing is gear shift indicator.
Can anybody tell me where in Mumbai I can fix gear shift indicator to dominar 400 ABS?

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Hi all!
I have been a silent reader of this thread from past 1 month. Bought the beast on feb28. Completed 1k on the odo today. so far no issues as such. even though I weigh 55kg I'm not feeling much difficulty in handling the bike
I have Strictly followed the run in procedure as per the manual. recently did a 250km ride along with an Access125
and checked the mileage before entering the devil traffic of Bengaluru for obvious reasons. I was pretty amazed at the number as It was 39.5kmpl!(top speed was 74kmph!). Just asking for curiosity, has any one got 40+!!??
Thank you

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
My man.. in order to avoid any human errors, I use an app called Fuel monitor (on iso device).Originally posted by xearoum View PostMy Scooter doesnt give 50kmpl. how are you guys doing this! there is obviously a mistake in mileage calculation.
Mind you, this reported mileage is a fluctuating one, being a 375 cc engine, this can be achieved (rarely) based on following factors.
1. Wind speed,
2. Minimal highway traffic,
3. Avoiding sudden acceleration and de-acceleration,
4. Maintaining speeds between 80-90 km in high gear and
5. Correctly maintaining accurate tire pressure.
Above factors make it impossible to achieve this economy on regular basis and hence I call it ‘once in a blue moon phenomenon’ [emoji12]🤪

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
40 kmpl on Dominar is surely doable. Just change gears as early as possible with least throttle. Keep top speed as minimum speed you can go without lugging.Originally posted by xearoum View PostMy Scooter doesnt give 50kmpl. how are you guys doing this! there is obviously a mistake in mileage calculation.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
I got this on a highway going under 73 in the 6th gear. There is obviously no fun in riding so but was following the run in procedure. I think linearity is the key for high mileageOriginally posted by xearoum View PostMy Scooter doesnt give 50kmpl. how are you guys doing this! there is obviously a mistake in mileage calculation.
