Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Go for fz25.I have been using fz25 for 6 months,6000 km.Superb pick up,instant throttle response, minimal gear change make this bike a joy to ride.I get @32 kmpl.Originally posted by ramnarayanan View PostGuys, Sorry for posting this here instead of what bike thread. I am torn between Dominar and FZ25, I will use the bike predominantly for office commutes and may be some short rides. I feel that the weight of the D400 may be uncomfortable in B2B traffic plus that I am returning to biking after about 10 years. Your thoughts please.
The top end is not that good but that doesn't matter so far as your requirements are concernd. But I will suggest u to go for fazer25 as it looks much better thanfz25 and it doesn't have the headlight vibration issue of fz25.Also better aerodynamics will be an added advantage on the highway.

Dominar is equally maneuverable as any other bike be it fz or other. Weight is only to be felt at standstill or while pushing the bike. Once on the move it is weight less.Originally posted by ramnarayanan View PostThanks guys, fuel economy is not really a concern here but more on manoeuvring through traffic.
It appears that Bajaj and Yamaha dealers are equally bad or good in Chennai. Now to make the difficult choice of selecting a dealer.[emoji17]

I would recommend buying SMK pinlock included helmet between 4000 to 5300 from Amazon. SMK is from Studds. The pinlock works especially if you wear glasses or experience fogging from breathing on a humid or rainy day.Originally posted by krish_095 View PostHi riders
I am from Chennai
Any idea of helmets around below 8k. I thought of buying MT revenge. Any suggestions?

I liked it so much that I got the pinlock 70 visor from motocentral.in.
This is a worthy helmet that is made in India. The pinlock is from Netherlands. Look no further. HTH.

No ABS. What a bummer. All that power and no safety net.Originally posted by Somesh1902 View PostFz25 will be perfect for you and economical as well and its best suited for traffic for its agility.

Ha ha ha already have it bhai. All good but it does get noisy at high speed. But fit is really good and padding is very good too.Originally posted by deepDmnr View PostAll, when you are in the market for your next helmet. Do consider SMK pinlock 30 included.
Wish i had found before the rainy season. No freaking fogging. Awesome.

Re: Bajaj Dominar 400 Ownership Experience Thread
Till first service I was driving at 75Kmph with linear acceleration. After that for few days I was doing 85kmph, post 1.5k bike got really smooth. Now I'm cruising 100kmph with linear acceleration till 145km non stop. I never rip the bike. I'm calm rider. Bike giving combined 32kmpl in traffic and Highway riding.Originally posted by krish_095 View PostDid you follow the running in speed recommended by bajaj upto 2k or can we drive aggressive after 1st service?

Problem I'm facing is Digital Petrol Indicator. Sometimes when it is in last 2 bar, when you park bike for fews hours and Ignition ON, it shows No petrol indication bar
. I get nervous and rush to nearest petrol bunk.
How much liters petrol is stocked when "No bar" shows?
