That's secondary, what I meant to ask was are you planning to move out of Bangalore anytime soon? Or you are going to stay in Bangalore for more than a year or say two.

What I know is if you are frequently travelling out of Banglore and coming again lets say in a period of 3 months it won't be a problem , condition you have to show the police men any fuel slip or toll while you were in hyderabad recently. Yoi can also do a resarch on google about RTO rules on this.

If I have an NOC certificate, that should not be an issue no?

I think it has more to do with the road taxes. You might be stopped frequently due to Hyd number plate.

I was in similar situation. Prices in Ahmedabad were cheaper than Mumbai but was told that if I plan to use bike for more than a year in Mumbai, then it's better to get from Mumbai. As I will end up paying road tax of both Gujarat and MH.

Above might not be 100% correct but that's what I have come to know.

Right! Thanks. I'll buy one in Bangalore then. To prevent all the hassles!

Hello Hello, I finally took the plunge and went for the Dominar. Choice of bike was mine, the choice of color was of my wife (Matte Black). Paid Rs 196k on road and went for the PFz puncture gel for the tyres (1k for it). I did a quick PDi of the bike (will share the list shortly). Booking was done at Khivraj Bajaj Domlur, Bangalore. The salesperson (Emmanuel) and the store manager (Arvind) were fantastic. Really helpful and patient to listen to my queries. They allowed me to choose the bike from a stock of 3 that had just come. I picked up a MT Revenge (from Moto Armour Whitefield) for about 7.5k. Ram was extremely nice and guided me through the fitting process. He's the main retailer for MT Helmets in Bangalore.

Overall, the performance is fantastic (I upgraded from a 18yr old Splendor ). My riding style is quick shifts and hence trying to match the speed to the right gear. Took the bike for a short ride on Hosur road (150kms) overall. I keep my speeds to a max of 60 for the first 500kms. Not sure if I can push it to bit higher (I'd love to). got a mileage of 30 as of now.
                Few minor concerns/issues:
                (1) Observed that bubbles in the oil window next to my engine (service guy said its normal)
                (2) Need to get used to the clutch during B2B traffic. Palms really hurt but getting used it it gradually
                (3) The radiator comes on pretty frequently (in Bangalore!!). Spoke to the sales guys and also service centre and they said that it's completely normal since Summer has started in Blr too
                (4) Engine Shut down - The only disappointing bit is that my bike suddenly shut down when I was at speeds of around 20-25 last Monday (09-Apr). The engine refused to start post that. After giving it few mins of rest, it finally started up but the engine indicator was on. I couldn't go the service centre right away. When I finally managed to go in the evening, the bike behaved absolutely normal. The engine indicator as well disappeared. Service guy told me to observe for few more days and come back if there is a problem (attaching couple of pics including tonight's issue).

And go back will I. Today evening (on my way back from work), the same problem occurred. Was moving up from the lower gears, and the bike suddenly lost power and shut down. I took a video of the same. Had to wait for few more mins and then ride back home. Service guy asked me to come in the morning to investigate. The radiator was more or less on during my ride back home (approx 5kms).
Disappointed that I'm facing such issues when I have spent so much on a bike. Really hoping that its a minor issue. Was planning on a ride on NICE road, but have to scrap that now.

Hoping to get some guidance on the above points from this forum. Thanks in advance.

Also, would anyone know how to get added to the DOC Bengaluru whatsapp group? I'm getting an error stating that the group is full

Welcome to the club. That's quite an upgrade from splendor [emoji57]
Initally my palms were also hurting a bit but after a week i don't feel it anymore.
And on 2 occasions my bike just shut off while i was doing about 30kmph. Very strange indeed. Thankfully Road was empty hence i was able to pull up to left and park without any drama. After 2 cranks bike came to life and behaved as if nothing happened.
Recently completed my 1st service and odo closing in to 1k now. My daily commute is 40km in blr and radiator comes alive after around 10+ kms

                  Ride safe and enjoy.

Did your engine indicator come one during the two times. I hope I just had my two times done and dusted.

Guys, whenever i try to open fuel tank lid to refuel petrol, I notice the pressure inside the tank pusing out the lid as soon I twist the key in fuel tank cap hole. Any prob?? After hearing royal enfield fuel tank blast incident, Iam bit scared please advise.

I don't actually remember but there were no other lights except Bajaj logo on the secondary display. Not sure about the primary display.

Right. Key difference here is that along with the Bajaj logo I had the engine indicator on as well. Will anyways get it checked and report back what the service guys have said.

You have any coolant left in it?
Dominar soaks in quite a bit in early days. I had to rush to service center within a week, I remember. Symptoms were same, fan running frequently and engine heat felt on thighs.

Welcome to BS4 airtight tank cap, make a habit to open and close the cap before and after a hot ride and try to park in shade.

If the oil level in Window is ok then do check coolant, weather it is disappearing and mixing with oil, oil color would be like coffee in this case with froth on top and on cold engine u can see full oil level. If all these are ok the it could only be a malfunction of light or oil pressure sensor.
                                Do get it checked.
