That is the correct way to do it, as it expands with heat. If it gets lower then minimum mark in cold condition get the system checked up, specially the gaskets and pump seals. Could be possible that it is leaking and mixing with engine oil get the engine oil checked too.

Wouldn't a Teflon coating be better?
Try ceramic/nano coating it is more durable then teflon. Would cost around 3 to 4k for whole bike with some yearly maintenance packages.

If u suffering jerks and vibes in hot engine then do get the evap system checked, and open and close the tank before and after a hot ride and try to park in shade.
To reduce the vibrations get the engine mounting bolts tightened up there are there on the rhs.
Also get the condition of airfilter checked a choked af can also make a bike jerky
Shifts gears at 4k rpm or above from second onwards it will also help and try not to ride in higher gear at lower rpm.
I showed it to svc yesterday and they said they'll tighten up the engine mounting bolts, I'm still the svc right now, hopefully it'll be a quick fix. I've done about 2k kms from my last oil change, thinking of changing the oil. I'll stick to Bajaj oil as of now though. Bike is not even a month old. And it's 2.5k on the odo. My friends same domianr 400 2018 vibrates half as much as mine. The guy who did the test drive agreed yesterday. Let's see how it goes. Will keep you guys updated.

Edit - seems like the vibes reduced a bit. Will know after the engine heats up.

            Looks absolutely beautiful.
Wish they were giving the older black alloys though. It would have been totally stealth.

Throw that oil in the deep pits of hell.
Patanjali Oil is probably better than Bajaj oil.
I'd request the big admin brothers to put in their thoughts on vibes.
It's still a new-ish bike and still probably settling down. You cab get the FI unit checked at a SVC.
Here is Pune, some of Dominar owners used Bajaj-Total oil for 9000 kms and had no issues at all. Overall decent performance. VFM.
Repsol 10W50 is also very good option, lot of dominar owners are using it and they are Happy.

If they've really upped the game in oil then good for them and for the customers too.
Total is a brand that can be trusted with quality stuff. Renault cars have Total branding on them which is a good sign of assurance.
Not sure if I'll jump onboard the Dominar train but I might give it a try on my P220.

Yes, but mostly everyone changing oil at 5k kms interval. People are very happy with Repsol performance as well.

I have around 400 ml of oil with me, will top-up the oil when required than living with mercy of service center who may/ may not top it up with synthetic oil..

An update here. Was busy last 2 weeks with office work so didn't get much time to clean the brake pads with sand paper.
However, with all my work done now and no work at office today, did cleaned them with sand paper lightly until the surface became smooth. It was rough at some points.
Did a short 2kms test run and there was no squeaking sound [emoji1].
I stay approx 50kms from office, thus giving me an opportunity to test more. Will update further after riding for approx 100 more kms.Click image for larger version

Hey, I have ridden 11500 kms till now.
As my ride is 60% city based, 30% highway based and 10% off roads, the bike has delivered superbly [emoji173]. The bike is performing very well till now and I am happy with my purchase.

                                Hi,
Bought the bike about 20 days back and this is my first riding experience in India. done about 1400 KM. So for i really like the bike apart from vibrations...but again for 2L there is nothing more you can ask for. And had a little strange experience in one of the group while asking about where i can get traction pad for tank..and got answers like it's just rubber with 3M tape and all. Am i missing something here because for me it's one of the essential and provide really strong grip when you are in full riding gear.

How does the bike behave on off-roads ? I still have to try and see that but i think in muddy condition it will be problematic because of the ABS.
