First of all, congratulations and best wishes for infinite miles with smiles on your Dominar 400, KK.

I had mentioned this in my review:

    What I didn't:

    * Inadequate rear-view mirrors. Why did not Bajaj Auto think of the very popular Avenger Cruise 220's RVM? I have them in my Thunderbird 500.

You mean the disc plate right? How is there even a possibility of this to happen? This is a serious issue. But screeching might be due to uneven pad wear too. Please check thoroughly and keep us posted.

Thank you Ravi sir. Getting comfortable with the bike now, with 3 days of riding [emoji4] .

        Nice to see you here.

Any idea whether the Avenger mirrors come in black finish other than the chrome finish. If they come in black I would like to swap, I am not a fan of chrome mirrors.

Avenger Street's RVM are in black. You can try them.

Can't say about that, brakes are the best point of Yamaha bikes, fz,r15 and even r3, known for best in class braking.

FZ25 is 34kg lighter than Dominar 400, may result in better stopping power than Dominar.

                  Am not a Yamaha fan.
                  I own RS200.

                  But facts must be agreed.
FZ25 would eat the sales of all bikes between 1 -2 lakh rupees atleast by small margin.

I like Fz, fat rear tyre, if fz25 had abs, that would have been my next bike. 250 cc is the perfect power commuter, the gear ratios are city traffic friendly. 250 cc bike is lighter so it's performs better than engine figures on paper. If tvs can offer on 180 cc and govt is making it mandatory, this is a wrong call to not offer abs option.
Competition is a good thing for us bikers.

But for touring long distance fz doesn't make that sense.

The engine will get strained on high speed on highways, this is where bike like 200ns comes in with liquid cooling, even Dominar 400.

But where Dominar scores is the stability and a security feel it offers being at 182 kg and perimeter frame.

Bikes like Fz25 , duke200 and 200ns will be agile and fun (perfect city commuter) but these bikes shakes on cross winds.

This is where RS200 and Dominar shines Cbr250 also , RS200 is simply heavy for a 200cc sports bike but the stability it offers is phenomenal.
Fz will be more of a city bike.

                      Cheers.

                          Hi Deep,

Any idea about the torque spread of the FZ25?

Also one thing i appreciate about a bigger engine is that the Maximum Payload rating is generally higher. What impressed me about the Dominar was the fact that even with a pillion there seemed to be absolutely no lull in performance. I have generally noticed with 2 up riding not only the handling of the bike inevitably changes but the performance, mainly the acceleration is hit the most.

No one will notice this in the bullet (which I am quite sure you may have experienced yourself in your riding experience) since it has a huge 500 cc thumping heart. Do you think a sub 300 cc bike can deliver this?

Not arguing just thought its worth considering.

With due respect to Bajaj, you are saying this without actually checking right.

Q - what is the safe speed range on indian highways. Would request some body who have done highway jaunt in his life to comment. @J.Ravi

In my 3 years of highway riding I would say between 80 to 100kmph. I have come across all sort of obstacles from cows/dogs running across 6 lanes of a highway to having the lead bike in a group blowing its oil tank and spewing all the hot oil on the bikes following it!

Also went into a ditch at about 90 and came out extremely shaken. I think in all of the cases, perhaps any faster would have resulted in grievous injury. Didnt have ABS in my bike in these instances. But im sticking to not venturing into triple digit speeds too much.

                                Thanks.

Do not think there is any need to add more. For me Power is useless if i cannot use it & what ever is available , can be used safely without any strain on man & machine both at same time.
