    Hi Madhu,

Please provide a long-term review of the tires when you get the time as I'm considering the same pair though in different sizes.

    Cheers,

      Hi All,

Just did second service on my bike. But bike is feeling jerky ever since the service. When I release the throttle at lower rpm to change gear and pull again, Bike jerks a lot.

Please anyone suggest What might be the reason? I am visiting service centre this Saturday again to check. Is it the choppy throttle, or loose chain or clutch plate play???

Just finished my bikes 4th service at 13750 kms.

And it's the first time I actually truly enjoyed every single minute of riding my bike in my 1 year and 3 months of ownership.

It's like the bike has become a totally new bike. The accel cable was replaced.

Not sure if it's because of that, but the throttle has become loose and its like riding a different bike.

The engine seems to have become more free revving and lesser vibes. I used shell for around 2500kms and switched back to Yamalube.

Yamalube seems to have reduced vibes, but gear shifts have become hard again as compared to shell.

But all in all, I was planning on selling the bike by the end of the year as it felt too uptight and cornering sucks - as in no feel or pleasure.

It's become way more free, smooth and fun now. Hence I am double minded.

Will switching my tyres to Masseter help with the handling issue?. If so, I am willing to invest 7-8k on a new pair of tyres and stick with this.

Or else, will try switching to the new Dominar, CB300R or Gixxer250 by the end of the year.

Hoping to get some view points and opinions.

              Thanks.

                  ......

                  Thanks.
You should definitely try new sets of tyres (like the Masetter), it will certainly improve the grip, handling and cornering nature of your ride to a noticeable extent. If it still doesn't help, you can try a different set of handlebars as well.

Hi may I know what else you did as service ?

Has anyone had to clean their throttle body? Had my injector cleaned once at 15000km. But can't find any service schedule about it. Also anyone have a diagnostic tool and worked with the ecu yet ?

                      Service done:
                      Throttle cable assy replacement
                      Fork overhaul and oil Replacement
                      Fuel Injector Cleaning
                      Spark Plug replacement
                      +
                      Regular Service

They also added 3M Engine Oil Additive. Not sure if that helped in the engine becoming smoother.

The service advisor told that I can do injector cleaning after 7k kms or even 10k kms if there are no issues.

I did the service at Whitefield Yamaha. They do use the diagnostic Tool. In Kerala, I used to get the print out, here they didn't give it, but he told it was done.

And I have seen them doing it, even when I went to collect my bike, they were doing it for another. So I guess they did, since Idle rpm is better and stable now as compared to before service.

Overall I am very happy with their service as for the first time, after a service, the bike felt like new.

Even after 3rd service, bike felt gruff and harsh and was sad. But now I am happy.

Could you clarify this for me please? I have never seen the tank range function as I always top-up on fuel once the last indicator starts to blink. When does the tank range function appear?

Hi when the last bar starts to blink, a value F and number comes up the same place where time is displayed. Maybe use the select button to cycle through it. Comes automatically for me.

Got it. Thank you. Since a week had an issue with idle dropping lower than set when running in traffic. I also experienced the same smoothness on a plug change. Wanted a diag tool for myself to fool around with. Thanks again!

Spent half a day in the SVC and could not get my chain noise fixed and set to correct slack. Every setting they made gave came with an issue (stiff ride, heavy chain noise starting from 30 kmph to mention a few.... and also hard gearshifts, especially while downshifting). Tried a few mechanics – nothing improved. Finally my dad and me took the issue in our hands and voila..... fixed it!!

The SVCs tend to keep the chain tight because the chain will get loose anyway and if they keep it at the correct slack, people will come to correct the slack every now and then and those guys are too lazy to adjust it every time. But this tight chain will cause the chain and sprockets to wear out too quickly. Hard downshifts may be due to improper chain slack, especially if the issue popped up recently or after a service.
