Never imagined Ktm would be this worst .
        Too many issues cropping up.
        1) fan not working and bike stalling in the middle of the peek traffic in sarjapur and jr market flyouver with only 1.5k on the odo..
This time the left frame near the engine had scratch marks in them [emoji2959].
2)coolant mixing with engine oil and engine had to be opened at 10k. And they charged me for the engine oil and they couldn't providers the engine oil checking glass window for 2 months with constant checking with the showroom. During this process they had made mark in the engine casing which can't be covered unless the case in changed [emoji35].
3)fan again not working with odo 14.5k. mailed Ktm and the service people took the bike at the earliest. but when the bike was returned the radiator protection plastic guard was not fitted properly with one nut missing and other one loose. Then on proper checking found out that radiator fins were damaged.

Ktm-bajaj was very close to my heart after all these ****ups I don't think they deserve that much money or respect.
My old pulsar220 was way reliable than this shit, I never gave it for service, only used to change oil and used to rip the shit out of it still it was rock solid @62k on odo when I sold it..

I feel sorry for you bro.
But it gives me happiness that you did mention how amazing P220 was.
Did you reach out to KTM-Bajaj with all timelines? I'm sure they are more than good to solve the customer problems.

Sorry to hear these issues. However mostly the issues are due to service center people than KTM or Bajaj itself. Fan was changed in 2018 model duke 390 you should get the new fan under warranty. Duke 390 is a different machine compared to P220 lower the mechanical and electronics equipments in the machine more reliable the machine will be. A carburetor machine will be more reliable than P220 and D390. I understand your frustration but with extra power bump from previous iteration these things can happen in the initial batch hope issues will get resolved soon. Happy riding.

Abhi, I understand it's difficult to digest the fact so many pestering niggles on such a young bike. What I'd recommend you is to provide a chronological evidence to the KTM folks by mailing them to this address [email protected] and also by reaching out to their toll free numbers

KTM Bike Customer Service Number New Delhi: 2546-056 Or 4665-8000
KTM Bike Customer Care Number Mumbai: 2580-2777
KTM Bike Customer Care Number Uttar Pradesh: 56225-20397
KTM Bike Customer Care Number Ahmedabad: 79656-3826

Apart from the bike's issue itself, poor servicing is what causes repeat jobs to occur and attended to in the first place. The vehicle by no means is a cheap affair to own and maintain. I'd strongly recommend you to purse the matter with the upper hierarchy, though it's a tedious process, it can and result in something rather than paying from our pockets. Keep your observations posted.

                    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

if properly adjusted and ridden normally, you shouldn't need adjustment in 1500km intervals.
maybe it is time you inspect the sprockets, especially the front since it is prone to more wear compared to the rear. a worn front sprocket will cause this tak tak noise especially at low speeds and over bumps. not sure if ktm will sell you only the front sprocket (they usually change the entire chain sprocket kit, which is also correct since in many cases the entire kit is better changed)
on a 200 though one can simply change the front sprocket with one from a P220/P180 ug4 , since it is the same part and easily available over the counter from bajaj or local spares. i've had exactly the same symptoms that you mentioned on my 200, and it was down to a worn front sprocket (you will notice hooked/sharp teeth).. changing it fixed the issue (this was at around 27k km iirc) and now the bike is close to 38k km, with the stock chain/rear sprocket and having only replaced the front sprocket for 150rs.

i forgot to mention that my bike is just 2700 km on the ODO and last time also after the first service at 1000 km , this sound had gone away and i believe that they had tightened the chain during the service due to which the sound stopped.

Do you guys tightened the chain at normal garages or take it to the SVC all the time ?
160 rs seems to me pretty high for chain tightening and lubing..

                        Thank you

Congratulations and wish you thousands of sMILES.
Read the manual and remember it word by word, page by page.
And given how monster 390 is, please ride with riding gears all the time.

It had little issues here and there. Sometimes, it wouldn’t start at all. Other times, it would stall under hard engine braking. It also stalled when I gave it gas at idle. The cams were very noisy. I had a valve check done, which cost me $300, but the clearances were perfect.
It was a gorgeous bike and a lot of fun, but practicality wasn’t its strong point, so I ended up trading it in for a Kawi.
It still is one the best fun mid sized bike out there, especially when it comes to sheer joy and the smiles on face, nothing can beat this little putter. Unfortunately, all that high compression, heat and stress do take a toll on the parts. Nevertheless, a hoot to own and experience, irrespective of the higher surplus bikes we have out there, personally.
