Ha ha ..They will say any crap to get there head out of this. Dont leave him even on the case thing in which he has accepted. Make him do the changes.
Why should you go around with a scratched case of his mistake. Also think of the fact that in case sometime down the line you try to sell the bike, what all the questions the prospective customers are gonna ask. Like was the case opened and all.

That's titanium color... 4 coats of it with a plastic final coat. Stripped out the ugly orange with sandpaper. It took me a whole day... not bad for a newbie eh?

It's been a while since I checked in here... what version is the software at? I'm at V41

That looks cool, but the problem with paint is that everytime you change a tyre chances are it comes off easily which happened in my case with CBR but since you are DIY guy I guess its not an issue.

Suggestion required regarding windshield. Which windshield works best for duke 390. Is anyone using lluvia medium sized windshield on their bikes?

Longrides has shared his puig windshield pics and review on page 173 of this thread, you can choose one which you like more as looks are subjective. You can search it on youtube. Zana windshield link- https://www.zanainternational.com/kt...windshield.htm

Is there any price list available anywhere for KTM Powerparts? I am looking towards installing those power sockets, basically ciggy lighter. This can serve as dual purpose for charging as well as using tyre inflator.

I have that too. But I still feel some air blast on helmet. I am 5.11 in height. Also the Zana one installation is not clean. Had to use lots of washers to get it fixed.

                      Welcome.

First try to change the setting towards softer side and install handbar risers to make posture more upright.

                      Ride safe and have fun.

I did adjust the suspension. Standing by the side stand I turned the shock from left to right. Now currently it's in the last position. Which is the best position on the shock?

I think you are on the stiffest side. Try adjusting it clockwise. Stock setting was at 5, i have kept it on 4(counting right to left standing on exhaust side), i am 5'9" and weigh 68kg. Stock setting had a tendency to throw me off my bike. Now i dont face any issue.

I have been facing some issues lately on my 2017 duke 390. Please let me know if someone else has faced them or can help me solve them.

                            1. After cold start, after about 15-20 sec, the bike automatically revs to 4000-5000 rpm and then calms down. This has started recently from 10-15 days. I went to SVC. They updated the software and told me that as per new guidelines, once the software is updated we need to disconnect battery and let the bike stay for 10-15 mins.
Did the same and the issue did not reproduce at that time. But it started again from next day. I am not sure if this is a sensor issue or something else.

                            2. Even after replacing the headlamp fixtures ( spring etc replaced during monsoon updates last year) twice, the headlamp again has started moving. This creates a buzzing noise on the run. Not sure why this happens.

                            3. There is kat-kat noise coming somewhere from the back. This is more prominent when the bike goes over the pot holes. The SVC guys told that this is chain noise and the lower part of the chain gets struck with the metal part above it. But i am not sure.. I checked and there is no other loose part. (I even packed the toolkit).

Can any body please guide me if they had some solution to these?

                            Regards,
                            J
Hi, I don't know if this has been answered or not. I have a 2017 Duke 390 which had similar issue of engine revving on its own after cold start. Ktm Chembur flashed ecu of 2018 Duke 390 on my 2017 bike and after that the issue has subsided. It happens occasionally sometimes but not too frequent.

                              Hi,

The SVC guys in Pune also flashed the ECU. Now it does happens but mostly in the morning.
What you can do to avoid this is start the engine and shut it immediately by engine kill switch. Restart again and for me the engine does not rev that high. It usually revs around 2000. Dont know if this is a solution but i try this every time in morning and it works fine.
Any day i miss out on this , then engine again revs to 4000-4500. Still no clue from SVC guys.

                              Regards,
                              J

                              Hi,

Can some one in Pune/Mumbai let me know if there is some shop where i can get the mods done to my KTM ( local shops or in Nana peth).
I wanted to get the top rack and the windshield attached.
I tried Sayadri Moto but they have the windshield in testing.

                              Thanks,
                              J

Hi guys, I recently changed my phone and while reinstalling apps from Google play store I noticed that ktm my ride connect (the free app) has been removed from play store. Any inputs why this was done (assuming ktm removed the app and not Google)? My OnePlus 6t won't connect to the bike without the app.
