Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
I don't think so , I think its a software update probably nothing to do with hardware and I say this because I have seen many 2019 model delivery videos in YouTube all of them have old blue UI, people would be really pissed if they get old bikes in 2019 that to in April-May.Originally posted by kiran2508 View Post

Are you sure the navigation will work on Duke 390? AFAIK the navigation update was released only for 1290 Super Duke and 790 ADV.Originally posted by pchetan2 View PostHi , Can you try using KTM My ride navigation app with your bike (not free KTM my ride connect). This is 600 INR but can easily be found on internet as apk, If you cant find one, tell me your email, I ll share you the apk.
With 2018 model, I cant use my ride navigation app. May be we have to get the software support for it in the Bike.

I know that navigation is not supported still but app should connect to bike right. Actually if you go to KTM india website and go to power parts section.., there is a sub category for software optimization and ktm my ride navigation software is available to purchase.Originally posted by Dodge_Viper View PostAre you sure the navigation will work on Duke 390? It seems Duke 390 must have support for that app. And may be we have to get it flashed a different firmware at service centers to get this support. I saw in one of ktm eurpo forums about bike owners discussing on the same...so got it for free as part of service..some had to pay around 70 usd.

One important question, Is it delivering more than 35 km/l as displayed in the console?

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
Those 25 km covered were completely on highway that too at speed of 80 kmph in lower rpms around 6000 rpms in that case it was returning around 30-35 kmpl but I found 37 kmpl bit too much exaggeration on console.Originally posted by Jackharrisw View PostCongrats on your new bike and many more happy miles on it.

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
After this ride i lost 2 bolts which fix exhaust to the frame.
I discovered it only after return home because it wasn't wobbling or making any noise etc.
Well after similar, but much, much less extreme rides i lost (not literally, it just broke in mounting area) my haggar. ANd you know what - i ordered it in 2017! It is 2019 now, but I still have not it.
Problem is people laziness, and not thinking how to solve this problem. Problem is that haggar from new duke and old duke have same number in computer system. So Mekhri circle service people can now figure out it for 2 years. And when i went recently to fix tail light under warranty they told that they will not do it because I HAVE NOT HAGGAR! F*ck! I was very pissed off, I went directly to general manager. He even didn't know this haggar issue. F*ck!!! ANd now it is more then month .... NONE!!!
Well, welder fixed my haddar year ago before monsoon season and i use it.

Hi,
I had checked with a service manager and he said it was a hardware change for bikes from may. ( Specifically i don't know what the hardware changes are)
Maybe this UI might come as a software update for older models.

I have recently booked 2019 model and awaiting the delivery. Would like to share a bit of information that I found after doing some research before hand.
In 2019 manufacture there are 2 different models.
Yes I was too not able to understand the reason, but the evident change in the two models is the TFT screen.
Jan2019 and April 2019.
In manufactured units of Jan - March 2019 the TFT screen is different and the one from April 2019 it's a slight different.
Came to know about this when I insisted teh PDI before sending the vehicle for registration.
Initially in the showroom display model the option to turn off ABS was not there, advisor said that's the latest safety feature.
Also the previous issues have been rectified in this update like buggy display, headlights strange behaviour, Display turning OFF etc. These were the issues in software version 5V something. (Will update the exact version as soon as I come to know)
The updated software version from April 2019 Manuf. Models is some 10V (basically the one which has no option to turnoff ABS)
That's how I remember as the latest version.
When doing the PDI before registration process, I found the unit allotted to me had the option of ABS turnnoff. This was something alarming and I asked the store manager to show me a different UNIT. Then he said that this is a good feature which you should have.
Somewhere in my mind I thought if I am getting my bike in May 2019 why shall I buy the buggy version TFT and then keep visiting service centre for repairs. So I decided to drop off the idea and insisted to the store Manager to allot me a latest version.
After some discussion he agreed to change the invoice and allotted me the latest April 2019 model.
If you wanna find the difference in between these 2 models while the Display is off. It would require you to look at the right side of the display where the RED alert light is there.
In the new 2019 model just below the red alert light there is a small unlight design if RPM metre which is not there in the old 2019 model. It's difficult to find the difference untill you see both bikes together. But the easiest way to find is by the option of ABS Off.
Hope this helps.
I am still awaiting the delivery of my bike, as the change of Invoice and other things consumed time and the registration process is delayed. But am happy that I will be getting what I paid for.
Will post the further details and pics after the delivery.b[emoji4]

Re: 2017 Duke 390 Owners Reviews and Experiences
SKID (BASH) PLATE.
This question is for Bangaloreans.
Where to buy metal skidplace for Duke390 2017 model?
I will not buy online, do not suggest it please!
I went today to Lalbagh and JC roads to check out.
I just last week bought new helmet in LS2 shop on Lalbagh rd and i saw that they have some things for duke. Including skid plate. Price Rs 2500. I thought nice! I will buy it, but i had not money that day. So i returned today ... and ... they have not it and the worst thing is that guy tried to sell me some skid plate which is not for duke. So sad, reputation of this shop dropped in my eyes from 5 starts to 1 star.
Then I went to JC road and there was situation as usually there - shop guys always say - YES, WE HAVE, COME, Come, come! Bulls#it, as usuall. It is they a**holes strategy, just to get in customer and try to sell anything. Waste of time. I gave up after 3 biggest bike acessorie shops.
Any idea where to buy? They told four wheels were better then two.
So, I bought another motorcycle!

Even I wasn't aware of this it all happened by accident for me as my dealer ran out of stock and got me fresh ones from factory even during delivery they were surprised to see new console.Originally posted by punit View PostHi,

True, that's what I said to the sales manager. He seemed to be upset as he couldn't convince me to take the earlier model.Originally posted by Dandamudi Mohan Krishna View PostEven I wasn't aware of this it all happened by accident for me as my dealer ran out of stock and got me fresh ones from factory even during delivery they were surprised to see new console.

Removed tool kit
Replaced chain and sprocket and tightened chain slag.
Exhaust shield bolts are tight enough in fact all the bolts/other parts are tight and well fit.
I used to change oil between 4000 - 5000 km range, last service was done in March.
But still I am facing that thud noise from rear side

You might want to have a look at your engine mount bolts to check if they've loosened.
Yes, handlebar weights are factory fitted.
Engine mount bolts are tight enough moreover that thud noise is only coming whenever the rear tyre go through any potholes or speed bumbs.Yamaha RX 100 - 1993 (2010-2012)

Orange is [emoji173]Originally posted by Dandamudi Mohan Krishna View PostHi All,

I have seen so many delivery videos so far and even in XBHP no one has shown new UI.
The major change is the UI instead of bluish background its flat black and white colors very subtle and rev meter if orange instead of blue.
White background

Black background (don't mind the dust its because of construction going near my house)

Software Version

Also you can no longer turn off the ABS its either Supermoto or Road
Background
- My bike has weird vibrations in right footpeg especially in around 4000-5000 rpm and its very unbearable and slight vibrations in left footpeg in lower rpm range below 4000 rpm
- There's lot of vibrations in the handle bar throughout the rev range upto 6500 rpm and front suspension is very hard I can feel a one rupee coin on the road.
For me it didn't felt normal as I can recall the test ride bikes from two different showrooms none of them had vibrations in handle bar one test ride bike had severe vibrations in footpegs but showroom person said new bike will be smooth. I even rode around 60-70 kmph during test ride and it was very normal and minimal vibrations as far as I can recall. I went to service center they did tweaked it bit but I can't feel major differences and I also asked them can I use as is till first service they said its fine.
I also checked things like chain slack and did standard PDI mentioned in XBHP,
Question
Does the bike is supposed to have vibrations (specifically in handle bar) ? or am I overthinking it ? If it can be fixed what are the things I should ask SVC to check.
Regards,
Mohan

Also if you notice on the right side of the console just above the High Beam Lamp, there is a deactivated lamp with Symbol of RPM Metre which is actually for Cruise Control. A possible Upgrade in future and the switch also needs to be upgradedOriginally posted by ksuresh92 View PostOrange is [emoji173]
