Finally goodbye to that creepy noise [emoji2]
I also hear the thud noise everytime the bike went over a pot hole. I thought the noise is coming from somewhere under the pillion seat.

Some chutyap** has removed the black rubber around the fuel lock so the metal cover will be making noise hitting the fuel lock.
Mech said we wound get the rubber ring seperately and have to change the lock[emoji1751]

Btw I also like to know if anyone has crossed or near 50k mark in the 2017 Duke.. as I would like to know the engine life of our mad baby.

even with that rubber ring, some old (pre 2016) bikes were notorious for a buzz from the fuel tank cap (including my d200 that exhibits this behavior once in a while).
someone had suggested iirc, to stick a bindi sticker on the underside of that flap to eliminate that chatter.. you could give it a try instead of replacing the lockset for such a minor niggle.

Right we can stick a double sided tape with adhesive rubbed off on one end.

It's make a bell kinda off noise from 4 to 6 rpm continuously [emoji23]

Yesterday my bike got stuck in 6th gear and it just refused to downshift no matter what i tried. Finally had to stop by the side of the road. A little later a good samaritan offered to push my bike till i get to a mechanic. Thankfully when i got to 20-30 kmph the gear downshifted and I was able to ride normally. Have not dared to use the sixth gear since. Has anyone else faced a similar issue? Any remedies to this situation in case this happens on the highway or some isolated stretch? My clutch plates were changed around 1000km back during the last service, odo reading is at 29000km. Bike model is 2017 Duke 390.

Were you using 6th gear for the first time in the last 1000 kms? If yes drive few kms shifting between 5th and 6th gear if you are scared to do so have mechanic as pillion and take the risk.

A faulty shift shaft/spring or a worn gear drum. Usually, a faulty gear shift shaft coupled with a faulty spring would mean, you'd have trouble engaging and disengaging the gear. Frequent grinding gears A faulty shift drum/shift fork would mean, you will have gear ejection and unable to downshift or upshift, like the one you faced. It's important that you get your gear shift shaft/spring checked.

                      Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                      The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

My 2018 model is due for 3rd service anx will get it done this weekend. I would like to ask about new UI in the console, rear suspension replacement due to thud sound on pot holes and ktm my ride navigation app support (paid one) in the service center. Is there anything else that you guys want to know so that I can ask in the service center? Also, my bike's oil hasnot been changed in the 2nd service or 1st as far as I remember and would ask for its change...Anything else should I ask for regarding service ? Odo is just 4k kms in 8 months

The KTM MY RIDE navigation feature is not supported for Duke 390 it seems, I tired to find some information on the official site too after reading reviews on the PlayStore about not working. Click image for larger version

I think the answer to this can be given to you at your nearest SVC. If my memory serves me right, Dandamudi Mohan Krishna's new bike has the new speedo display, which is like the second image you've posted. If ever there is another recall for a TFT flash, for the older Dukes, chances are high that you'll get the one like the second image.

                                Cheers!
