    HI All,

I have finally booked the vehicle but I'm planning to buy insurance by myself, which company provides good service (price is not a priority) in terms of giving good claim value etc. It would be helpful if anyone had first hand experience with the insurance claims too.

The KTM here is providing IFCO TOKIO and I'm not sure how that company is.

    Regards,
    Mohan

      Hi Mohan,

      Congratulations on your booking!

Government Insurance companies like Oriental, United India, New India are good as far as i've heard.
Plus, they have less premium too.

Other private ones like HDFC Ergo, Bajaj Allianz, Reliance, Iffco-Tokio charge a tad bit high.

Check on PolicyBazaar or CoverFox and read the clauses and pick what suits you the best.

Personally, i've had claim experience with Oriental company and it was smooth.

My 2 cents - Always buy Zero Depreciation insurance for a hassle free riding.

Guys I am noticing something strange about my Duke 390. I am currently on a Munsyari trip on bike. It happened twice. Nothing to be alarmed but an observation. Random cows take a lot of interest in bike while I am riding it.

On one instance a small calf was racing with me for 100 mtrs as if I am coming to get him. Another instance when I was stopped to take a pic, a grown male came to me and started rubbing her face on knuckle guard. As if wanting to play.

I guess it might be due to orange colour. This has never happened to me on previous bikes. This proves animals can recognize color, hopefully.

It seems , KTM My Ride Connect has disappeared from Google Play Store. Dont know if KTM has pulled it out or Google did that.

Apple Iphone users ,can anyone confirm if its same in App store ?

Ha ha, I've the same problem but with dogs.
Whenever I am nearing the dogs they stand up gather other sleeping dogs, they get ready to attack me.

I either choose my getaway with perfect timing and gun the throttle or take a 2km long detour to skip the dogs menace

Either its the sound or the color! This needs some case study!

Its available in App Store but costs whopping Rs.599 to download.

You don’t need the app on iPhone to connect.
It works seamlessly as it is . Just connect directly using Bluetooth as you connect to any other device.

Came back from Munsyari trip on d390 recently. Metzeler held up well without puncture or any other issues. Am impressed with the reliability along with the grip it offers. Not as good grip as stock mrfs on r15 but did not loose traction even once even in slush, rain.

I wouldn't be surprised if people could do leh trip on these without issues.

                      Hi Guys,

I need some suggestion in fitting extra led lights for my duke 390. It has been 8 months since I purchased my bike but never had time to go for trips or night rides. Also poor visibility of factory headlight made me travel less during nights. Even while returning from office , visibility is really poor.

hence I am planning to install separate LED lights. I need few suggestions on what to purchase, where to fit etc ....

                      Thanks in advance

Your best bet are to install them near the crash guards the upper rail of the crash guards as they focus the beam straight onto the road. Most install it near their handlebars and some even install it on their fork triple clamp bolt, and some even near their front axle wheel. What I'd suggest is, it's better to get them installed near the crash bars, this way it's easy for wiring, plus they are easy to install that way with a support for them already in place.

Here are a few pictures which should help you out.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                        The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                        THE END

Thanks for the information. On xbhp, I had seen someone installing ktm rc's headlights on their bike and they looked really cool and modern. Is it a problem for battery if I do the same?

Hi pchetan2, I have been using a pair of Goldrunway 40W LED lights since the last six months on my Duke 390 and I would whole heartedly recommend these. The light output is just amazing. I have installed them on zana crash guards.

I returned from a 1000km trip today and it was my first long trip on my duke. I noticed one thing that the avg fuel consumed is not at all accurate. While the avg fuel shows 28kmpl the real fe came to be 25~26kmpl. Is it just with me or everyone is facing the same issue.

I never considered taking them seriously. I do look at them from time to time. Mostly it shows over 30 kmpl. I do look at it from time to time out of curiosity.
