Interesting. I recently had the levers adjusted to get them closer to the bar, I wonder if the increased play as a result is causing the issue, the lever does rattle after releasing it, earlier they were too far off for comfortable reach so I had to reduce it a bit. Will give it a try, thanks for the info.

I don't think plays around with music or the settings when thrashing the bike around. I do however utilise it when I'm cruising or riding inside the city. Also, you don't have to go through 2-3 options to reach the music buttons. You can configure it to stay on the console and since you learn the controls, you hardly have to look at the console when changing tracks or picking up calls.

Also, having them on the TFT is WAY better than having people fiddle with their mobile phones while riding. Just my 2 cents.

wish the tft screen had google maps intergration. that would be a game changer.

as of now its a glorified gimmick thats more of a hassle cause the issues. also expensive to replace and kinda unsafe to park bike anywhere with peace of mind.

Glad to see someone from Ooty. Are you currently in Ooty, and which part of Ooty are you residing in. I've lived there my whole life, relocated to Hyderbad a couple of months back. Ride safe! Always wear a helmet.

              Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
              The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Well, it's been 25 years I've lived in Ooty. I started all the way from Little Kings to Child Jesus to Rex Higher Secondary, where I completed my primary and shifted to St. Joseph's for Higher Secondary. So, it's been a roller coaster and it's more 9 years now. So, it's been a few couple of months since I've relocated, but family is still at the home base.

                  Cheers!

An update again on the TFT issues and ECU failures encountered by some.

Went down to the Indiranagar SVC with a friend to meet the guys. The chief engg from KTM Pune and ECU guys from Bosch were there. They ran all tests and found a few bugs. They expect to release an update in the next 10-15 days post which most of the bugs and issues should be gone Was there for a good 4 hours!

Same thing told to me that the updated software will arrive in 15 days, which is being developed in Austria. Apart from that, they also said that there are features which are currently disabled, which will help in bike's control, though there are not sure if it will be exclusive to international market or even we would be getting that.

Next batch expected within 2 weeks.

Those features are traction control and cruise control. There are hidden lights on the left and right of the console. You can see those lights by striking a flash.

Talked to concerned person from KTM head office at pune. He confirmed issues have been successfully diagnosed and new software is ready. They also got diagnostic tool from Austria for software issues, he confirmed new software needs to be flashed at ECU and it will solve all these issues. They already dispatched new tool to few showrooms and the new software for ECU.

Booked the bike last week. 2 months waiting time given by dealer. Hopefully all the issues get resolved by then.
