    Yeah, lucky you, bangalore KTM guys have no clue about it yet, they say 'Can Failure' error is nothing, just ignore it.

            Yes man I am a bit into photography as well not getting time to take more beautiful shots of the bike thanks to office and the fact that it's riddled with dirt (because of the stupid rain). Will probably take more shots after the first service

                    Normally rev limiters are set for safeguarding the engine to avoid revving over the limit.

                    But in duke 250 i heard the rev limiter is set little below than the actual red line, and this limits its top end performance. This i came to know through online reviews, can say for sure. May be the owners can confirm.

                      Damn! I just found out through this thread that the 250 costs 2.23L and the 390..2.91L on road in Banglore 😮
                      I bought my 250 for 2L on road in April first week in Mumbai, and I was still cribbing that it's over priced considering the fact that it has no abs.

                        Rev limiter is set at 7500 RPM on my bike..

                          I think it will be lifted to higher rpm after 1st service. You can also request the ASC

                            There is no rev limiter set at 7500. It's just the shift light. The bikes comes with a rev limit at 10500.

                              The light is just a warning? This is news to me. Ultimately, it is the ECU that does the limiting at 10.5k right?

                                yeh, the light has always been a warning indicator. some ktm mechanics will tell you about how it is 'locked' blah blah.. they probably were instructed to do so just as a precaution so that some over enthu buyer does not rev heck out of these machines right from day 1.
