I am getting my 250 for 1,98,000 with Number plate embossing, 3M teflon coating and bike cover. Is it a good deal?

I bought it from KTM Warje (Pune) if someone was wondering. And the manufacturing of the machine is from June
That's a very good deal...Here in Bangalore it costed me 2.22lac onroad before GST. I think it reduced by 4.3 k after GST. No freebies[emoji20]. Congrats and happy riding with your new bike.

But I am getting disappointed with heat of engine and shutting down in traffics in 2gear. Can someone please suggest me?
I think we need to get used to shifting gears as it looks to be a common thing on d250. Heating is there and the radiator kicks in when it's hot. I felt the radiator sound is not that annoying as others complained. Maybe Iam too optimistic[emoji4] . And yes things might change after 1st service. Those who got their 1st service done, please comment.

Engine heating is common in new bikes and D250 is a performance oriented motorcycle so it will generate some heat.
But do you switch off the whole engine whenever you are stopping for red signal ?

Heating is a common thing , so don't be tensed . Take the bike out of traffic and you will enjoy it for sure . You will have to get used some of the heating issue , but its not a big problem as it is the normal operating temperature of the bike . I am getting my first service done in a week , so I will get back to you if there are any improvements .

I got my bike just yesterday and I have to say I am enjoying every bit of it. Already rode 120 kms in which 75-85 kms were in city traffic (Pune traffic) and remaining on NH4 highway. I haven't calculated the mileage yet, but I will do it later. I just wanted to know is it perfectly safe and legal to remove the muffler? It doesn't seem like a KTM bike at all without its iconic exhaust note, which is suppressed by muffler. Please guide me through.

If you are referring to aftermarket exhaust, yes you can fit but i dont think its really necessary for the money you have to spend.
But if you referring to just removing the muffler and leaving as such, then its not legal.

How do you guys justify the extra 60,000 over the FZ25, considering the identical performance ?
FZ 25 is definitely a strong opponent it even felt zappier to me.But I'm a KTM lover and a brand loyalist too so my mind doesn't accept any other motorcycle i though of getting the 390 but for the cities i don't need that beast of a machine. The duke 250 power delivery is very good for cities so i chose that over the FZ25 or the Rc 200

Is anyone experiencing issues while gearshifts? Gear shifts are little hard, especially 3rd gear. It's just 250kms running but still I wanted to know

Gears will become a bit less hard after the first service and with more kms. But they will still be clunky and make audible noise while changing. Get used to it and enjoy the bike

                              Ride safe and have fun.

Thanks for the info. I transitioned from a 125cc Hero Honda bike to this one so I was worried about gearshifts.
