Re: 2017 Duke 250
Happened to ride a friends 250 for the whole of last week while he was out of town. I currently ride a 2017 390, so maybe I can give you guys my perspective regading vibes and riding in general.
The 250 is really really smooth below 6k rpm after which I felt the vibes creeping in and annoying me on the handlebar as well as pegs. Infact, my 390 feels smoother than the 250.
Some guys over here complained of footpeg vibes at around 4k? This bike didn't have any. The bike has got 12000km on the ODO, so maybe the bike smoothens out as you ride it?
The bike is a lot of fun as long as you keep her above 5K rpm imo. On his bike, there was a weird lag at around 3-4Krpm where the bike just seems to sit until it crosses that range. Is this on all 250's?

The D250 is a good commuter. Both the FZ 25 and the D250 have their share of problems, but no major problems till date. The chain needs a look every 500km or so.Originally posted by presidency View PostAm planning to purchase a bike for daily commuting to office. Is D250 good for this purpose or the fz25? Is duke gonna give frequent issues like old duke models?

Re: 2017 Duke 250
Yes, the sweetspot is around 5-6k RPM. haven't spent much time above that range other than the occasional short bursts, but no vibes there. There's a lag when you're just puttering around on a higher gear and suddenly decide to speed up without downshifting.Originally posted by chip94 View PostHappened to ride a friends 250 for the whole of last week while he was out of town. I have a metallic noise in general because of the lower LHS side leg guard mounting bolt being a bit loose. But none from the radiator as such.Originally posted by Roy80 View PostYa absolutely .. vibration noise ... Damn irritating !!Last edited by strahl7; 09-30-2017, 06:11 PM.

No .. in my case .. it's from the radiator cover .. if I press it .. the sound goes .. any one any idea how to fix it ??Originally posted by strahl7 View PostYes, the sweetspot is around 5-6k RPM. haven't spent much time above that range other than the occasional short bursts, but no vibes there. 2017 Duke 250
Hello,
I have been using my duke 250 for the past six months and have done 6k on the ODO.
Bike runs smooth without any problem.
no vibrations whatsoever (or maybe i am used to them)
Initial problem with fuel injection sensor, though its sorted now.
Need a few things sorted
1. Is there a way we can manually adjust the idling? if yes, guidance will be helpful.
2. Idling is fluctuating between 1.5k - 1.75/2k. anyone having the same issue?
3. Has anyone been using the NGK iridium spark plug?
4. Any air filter upgrades? like K&N (part no)
Thanks in advance.

Re: 2017 Duke 250
The current lots of the Dukes are very much refined when compared to their older counterparts. Secondly, the idling is controlled by a stepper motor controlled by ECU so manual adjustment of idle would not be feasible. Idling does vary at times, when the engine is heated and it also depends a lot on the fuel quality. Yes, NGK plugs don't make much difference, but they do help cold starts a little easier.Originally posted by romeshatre View PostHello,

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END
