Re: 2017 Duke 250
During the run in period .. the engine is settling down .. there are wear and tear in the engine ( to cause it they use mineral oil ) . Revving the engine too much may cause long term damage like scratching the Piston walls for example.. So avoid revving the engine too much till the first oil change ( service).Originally posted by snoufaltariq View PostOne question guys does rev matching before run in period damages the engine I'm a rev match addict i do it all the time the sound the feel.Recently i thought of it so i am afraid now please help me with this query 🙄😕😲

Re: 2017 Duke 250

Someone made this ugly scratches on my bike, such terrible, jealous people. I want to know if these can be removed using any scratch remover pen or wax or something? Or if there is any tried and tested way to get rid of those, please suggest me.
Thank you.

Sorry to hear this . Idiots are everywhere. Try rubbing compound if the scratches are not too deep.Originally posted by DarkKnight78 View Post

Re: 2017 Duke 250
Permanent marker is the a temporary fix. but there will be a shiny residue later on. A large tank sticker might be a better fix.Originally posted by DarkKnight78 View Post

Re: 2017 Duke 250
Just check if they are clearcoat scratches or more deeper if it is clearcoat scratch than 3m rubbing compound will help else take it to a professional detailer maybe he can help.Originally posted by DarkKnight78 View Post

I am not knowledgeable enough to determine that. Can you look at the picture attached and take a guess?Originally posted by revvharder View PostJust check if they are clearcoat scratches or more deeper if it is clearcoat scratch than 3m rubbing compound will help else take it to a professional detailer maybe he can help.

Re: 2017 Duke 250
Just spray some water on the scratches and see if they disappear if yes than they are clearcoat scratches and can be fixed with rubbing compound if not consult some professional detailer or some other alternatives if available. If they are clearcoat scratches then just view some channels before using the compound or consult someone on the forum and i would advice to prevent further scratches like this go for some paint protection like 3m ppf or alternatives and it seems they are on tank where our belt gets rubbed if i guessed right then you can put some high quality tank pad.Originally posted by DarkKnight78 View PostI am not knowledgeable enough to determine that.
