  • Re: TVS Apache RR310

Came to know about a very sad Truth, there are almost zero queries for 310rr here in delhi ncr. Till now only 22 bikes are sold here. Got to know this from a friend who have joined tvs as area sales manager.
This is the prime reason that showrooms do not have td bikes, he said there is a plan to push sales in 2019. But the interest in prospective onwers is very low.
People here do not appreciate good stuff from Bajaj or tvs on the other hand shitty stuff from re is selling like hot cakes(then being thrown in garbage).
Apache 200 on other hand has started doing good.

Got my RR310 two weeks ago. rode about 300km. A significant change from my NS200. Engine is lot refined, and suspension is best. brakes are very good, feedback could be better but no complaints. cornering is very confident. handling is very good. riding stance as expected.

My only complaint is the slight buzzing from somewhere from front panels on the dashboard and the chain noise. Otherwise, worth every rupee spent.

That's a super clean and beautiful bike.
        1. How do you wash and maintain Matt finish?
        2. What do you use to clean the chain-sprocket?

        • TVS Apache RR310: Ride Review

          Hii auto geeks!!
Yesterday i.e. saturday turned out to be a funday for me as I managed to do a short test ride of the new born baby in the quarter-litre segment. The TVS Apache RR310.
Not going inside the technicals, quickly coming to the point,
starting with the performance, The bike has been given adequate power to put off the tarmac from tracks. I found the power delivery linear straight away till 9.7k rpms. Yes!! one can feel the inadequate torque at lower rpm but it is neglegible as the bike is race track oriented machine.
Also the braking on the bike has sufficient bite but lacks the feel.
Coming to refinement, one can feel the magic TVS has done collaborating with BMW. The engine feels refined, some vibes still manages to crawl post 5.5k rpm but one can get used to it.
One of the things in bike that really took my heart was it's stubby exhaust muffler and the throaty exhaust note it utters. The moment you twist the throttle, the engine roars like it's ready to revv harder.
Also the seating of the bike is perfect for long tours as well along with track rides.
Coming to the looks, the heart really skipped a beat seeing the red rebel. The bike is surely a head turner specially in the red and white paint scheme. All the vinyls and sticker job is nicely placed, the headlight has that appeal to the rider and DRLs to their work!! The tail section is also lit with its unique styled tail LED lamp.
Coming to the comfort, the suspension setting is slightly to softer side so you wont complain it riding in city on Indian roads. Still while on tracks I would like a more stiffer and sharper setting which would in-turn help to increase the traction.
Quickly summing it up with pros and cons of the bike:

          Pros:-
          1) The looks!! biggest factor to go for this beast are it's looks.
          2) The engine is refined and performance has a balance for both city and track rides.
          3) The Stock tyres offered provides a good grip.
          4) The instrument cluster is also an informative unit telling things like range, gear indication etc. It has also got hazard indicators.
          5) The exhaust note is something which would surely go noticed by people.
          6) The biggest perk of the bike is it's price point! Going around for 2.5 lakhs on-road, one of the best package offered in segment.
          7) The seating posture of the bike is easy to ride with.

          Cons:-
          1) The quality of the switchgear can always be better in ways.
          2) The brakes have the bite but lacks the feel.
          3) The suspension have a room to get to the stiffer side.
          4) NVH levels are under contorl but vibes still creeps in post 5.5k rpm
          5) It would have been better in practicality if there was some more space on the under-seat storage.

Overall the bike is a Go for it package at this price point.
Always wear a helmet while riding. Ride safe!!

PS: The test was done at A K Gandhi TVS, Nagpur. These guys genuinely co-operated and was impressed.

            Congratulations for the new ride.
Ur experience will get even better once you put more miles. The buzzing sound could be front front panel or the visor. SVC can tighten the bolts.

I use car shampoo. Thats all. No polish or any other after wash products. Make sure to use a good quality micro fiber cloth.
            2. What do you use to clean the chain-sprocket?
            For cleaning iesel.
            Lube : Gear oil EP140
For RR, make sure to cover the exhaust pipe while chain cleaning since it is on the rear side of engin
            e .

2000 kms since the last chain slack adjustment. Holding up pretty good despite TVS recommends every 1000 kms.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                THE END

People are not to be blamed here. My cousin and some other his friends were genuinely interested in this bike, but TVS chose not to sell it in our hometown, and so now this bike is not even in consideration list for buyers apart from big cities.
