Also, great work on that tank! I can't place it, where is the inspiration from? Looks very classic and sublime. Kudos!

Neat. I bet a lot of people are doing that since footpegs seem like a common pain point on INT650.Originally posted by Chakrapani View Post

Good effort I must say.Originally posted by sleepy capybara View PostA man can dream. I was playing with RE configurator and actually liked the Baker Express color scheme on INT650 but not the blackened fenders. also removed the black plastic extension from fenders+ gold forks. (If it wasn't for ridiculous footpeg placement INT would have been my first choice.)
Rudimentary effort but gold will look cool.

Off topic. Apologies. I would come up with a GT edit better than this.
Regarding the footpeg placement on Int 650...You can move the footpegs to GT location. I have done it on my bike. Got it done at RE Service centre. That way you get the upright driving position of Int and the footpegs also stay clear of your shins...
How is this for a bit of tank art...
Ps. This photo has the footpegs in the standard configuration.

I would really like to see something like that on my orange crush.
One more thing I would like to see would be gold coloured forks instead of the black coloured ones. [emoji6]
Just improves the looks a wee bit.
Adding gold coloured Rental flat track handlebars would really push the envelop though...[emoji23]
But like you said...fat chance..

Way back when alloys started appearing on the scene, Bullet owners opted for gaudy, chariot wheels and the trend seems to have continued onto 650 twins. The twins look GREAT with spoked wheels and I really wish RE comes up with redesigned spoked rims that are tubeless (even if as optional accessory) instead of alloy wheels. Fat chance though.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
Here is what you can also do....If you have an existing two wheeler insurance policy in your name with a 50 percent No Claim Bonus you can transfer the NCB on the new vehicle as well. That will bring down your premium further. Your insurance agent will tell you how to go about it.Originally posted by 'nYsus' View PostThanks bro! Had no clue what all to check before purchase.
Does the zero clutch play bother in riding? I never noticed this on test rides.
About the leg gaurds, i dont know how RE got this bike certified without leg protection. Shouldn't it be mandatory? Which color do you guys suggest for leg gaurd, black or chrome. I think black looks jazzy!
Cheers!

Bruhhhhh, no i didn't know we could do that. Which provider you recommend? Can i get this done online?
They are getting me iffco tokio insurance for 21k with 60% of coverage of bike value. Please advise.
If the showroom guys don't play ball tell them you will cancel your booking or escalate it to Royal Enfield.

Re: Interceptor 650 Twin
You don't have to carry your laptop, a mobile would work just fine. Showroom owners are looking to make maximum profit, accessories, riding gear, insurance all make a nice profit for the dealer. And when we are making a purchase we don't think rationally and make decisions hastily due to the excitement.Originally posted by 'nYsus' View PostI got to know e-city showroom has two, Chola Mandalam and Iffco Tokio.
Let me understand these policies first. Then probably i go to my showroom with my laptop and book the insurance online!
Btw how much benefit i can get out of this exercise you think?
Edit: I am getting personal accident cover worth 15 Lacs and zero dep insurance+consummables cover of upto 2.87 Lacs for 20.3K on Go digit. Is this a dream? Showroom insurance is such a ripoff
So either get insurance on your own, or ask the dealer to match the online price, they do that sometimes, they'll say you might have problem while claiming, but that's not true, once you are out of showroom you are on your own.
And don't pay for the fitment of the accessories as well, some dealers do that. Go digit has good reviews, you can go with them.
P. S. During a purchase of a car the insurance difference comes down to 10k-15k

You can buy from policybazaar and directly through various insurance provider's website/customer care. And even there you can bargain and get the quotes to be lowered.
All the major insurance providers are good, i have experienced go digit, iffco Tokyo, liberty Videocon, tata aig, futura genrali (spellings might be wrong) and got the claim passed without any issues.
Regarding the coverage, the IDV or insured declared value has to be 95% of the ex showroom value of the vehicle, anything more and you overpay on the Premium, anything less and you get less amount in case of theft or total damage of the bike.
There are many ad ons with insurance as well, nill depp/zero depp you'll be getting, also opt for consumables. Go check out go digit website, they have explained every add on properly there.

Thanks bro! Had no clue what all to check before purchase.Originally posted by Ijs View PostAll the basic stuff that needs to be checked, electrical, brakes paint work for scratches, peek inside the tank for rust, tyre pressure fill first if it is low(usually it is low from showroom).
More importantly clutch play 2 to 3 mm RE mechanic are fond of keeping zero play in clutch, also check seat for rattle(it does from rear side). Idle the the Engine and rpm should be 1100 to 1200 after warming up(needle bounces a little).
I suggest RE large leg guard coz the main bottom bolt is shared with Engine mounting and chassis that's why i purchased it from re and didn't risk the after market bolt with after market guard.
Sump guard makes sense if you plan to go off road too often otherwise it makes oil filter change bit messy and it rattles if not fixed properly also. Fly scree is only for looks not other purpose.
Ride carefully and wear shoes and helmet.
Good luck and congrats.

Hey there,
Please don't do that, if not for the sake of sweat-soaken engineers who designed the bike, do it for your life! People have had some serious crashes at low speeds using this kindof stuff.
Ride safe!

Hey there,Originally posted by raja09 View PostHello people. I'm new to the group but have been following the Interceptor forum for quite some time now.
I just came across a YouTube video on Royal Erado alloys installed on an Interceptor. Does anyone has any idea about how reliable these wheels are? And any stability issue that might occur?

Just stay away from this kind of crap. There are videos on YouTube of such alloy wheels just disintegrating while being ridden. While looks are subjective I personally find them too gaudy and revolting. You will endanger yourself and others by going for such things.Originally posted by raja09 View PostHello people. Please stick with OEM spoked rims till RE comes out with alloys for the Interceptor 650.
