Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
I've never seen good reviews for Pilot sporty. Dry grip is ok and wet grip is bad. Even the dealer suggested not to take pilot sporty.
FY1 is a very good tyre.Last edited by Shashank K R; 08-02-2016, 09:31 PM.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
I am not able to get a hold of Zapper FY 1 and the Yammie dealer is quoting 3000 bucks
. i am switching from a TVS shrichakra 90/90 17 i am assuming the Michelin will be better than that. The tread design is not the Thailand make, it the new version which has two lines surrounded by the funky treads.

Dry grip is ok nothing great, but wet grip sucks big time specially in mud & slash , go for zapper fs I am using it dry grip is good ,wet grip decent would suffice if u ain't a hard-core rider.😀
u can also check ceat range of tyres..

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Michelin pilot sporty is manufactured by tvs in India.....so u can't expect great performance from it....zapper fy 1 will cost 2000 bucks...u can try Ceat zoom f , costs around 1500 bucks...Originally posted by pranav_salieri View PostI am not able to get a hold of Zapper FY 1 and the Yammie dealer is quoting 3000 bucks

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
I am very happy with the Michelien pilot sporty/MRF Zapper C front and back tire combo.I had recently been to Shivanasamdra and Talkadu river and i was quite impressed with the Dry and Wet grip,Also insipred a lot of confidence while corneing at high speeds.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
I think 1/2 reviews here have also talked about the tyre having good grip for 8k-9k kms & then it just goes downhill from there.Originally posted by pranav_salieri View PostI am very happy with the Michelien pilot sporty/..
So after a few thousand kms more maybe you could review it again. Who knows tyre company might've improved it.
