Im currently using mobil1 racing (synthetic) 10w40and the oil works pretty well, no leaks, engine runs cooler and the oil lasts also considering my usage (80% highway, 20% city)
My bike running with a ffe, tweaked air intake so i change between 2500 - 3000 kms, the oil seems like it will run more but i dont wish to try.

Hello everyone. This is my first post on xbhp. Actually wanted to change the front & rear tyres so i need suggestions.
As I've read in the past 90/80/R17 for the front is not recommended by the users. I have no issues regarding the brand. My front tyre is the stock TVS while I got the rear tyre changed at 18000kms to the Mrf Nylogrip Zapper C.
The problem is yesterday I had a huge puncture in it and I've made my mind to change this too.

I'll be helpful if you all can help me find the right outlet and recommend the lerfect tyres for high speed runs & cornering.
            Regards

Go for ZAPPER VYDE 120/80-17 for the rear. Or there are a few options like Michelin Pilot Sporty, Pirelli Sport Demon. Zapper vyde is made for cornering grip. Many of them recommend it on this forum.
For the front you can go for Michelin Pilot Sporty again or Zapper fs.

Cool. Really appreciated. I'll await the experts to comment on this.

Michellin Pilot seems to have a good compound.I've seen a few on the P220's.

Michelin pilot sporty is not all that great (currently using it, done 23k km). Its a medium- hard compound tyre, but grips better than tvs tyres. People have been using r15 v2's front MRF zapper for the rtr front tyre and from reviews it seems to offer the best grip in the particular size range.
For the back tyre you may opt for either zapper vyde or zapper c which you are already using.

Thanks mate this was really helpful. I shall gonfor the MRF tyres indeed.
Another question, will 100/80/R17 for the front suitable for the 180?

You can go for it (100/80/R17) but front end will become a bit heavy and steering the bike will require more effort. You will have better stability while cornering though..

Not many have tried it on a rtr.

A bit heavier handle will give more confidence in the corners (maybe). Lets see I'll keep you all updated.

Recently changed the Gear Shift Linkage Assembly of my RTR-Hyperedge to the latest RTR's ones. THis was done because the older model the length was quite big and it always used to touch the side stand assembly thereby creating a fuss while changing gears. Now the gear shitfs are buttter smooth. Price is 621rs + labour charges extra.
But still the false gears exists a lot like before. What maybe the reason for the same. Is it the clutch plates have worn out? I believe the life span of clutch plates are around 30~50k or more kms if handled well. I believe I have changed sometime back or dont remember if its the clutch lever springs or something written like Clutch O/H priced around 275 bucks.
Also does anyone know what is the meaning of SAI O/H. Its mentioned in the bill and is around 153 rs. Forgot to ask the same at the time of delivery.

I guess Clutch O/H would be short for clutch overhaul and SAI stands for secondary Air injection unit which can be found above the exhaust tappet cover.. it needs to be cleaned occasionally, so I think thats what the service centre guys charged for..

My RTR 160 has run 27000 Kms, and recently i can see the performance has gone down. the engine emits more heat becomes harsh on few Kms of travel.
Till now i have done just regular servicing with oil change and the Oil filter change on the every servicing. I have also changed the Air Filter around 15000 kms.
I am taking my bike to SVC, should i have to tell them for anything specific.
