Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
If it's starting with clutch, the clutch switch is fine, it's the neutral sensor that isn't working. Not sure, but i think it's called the gear shift switch.Originally posted by sambit View Post

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Found a good sticker shop near my place, I got Motul(Bigtime Motul fan) and NGK Iridium stickers
The best part is both stickers were designed by him, he customized it into my needs. Also ordered NGK CR7EIX with local shop, I'll have it by tomorrow. I'll post pics of stickers tomorrow.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Guys I hav a peculiar problem! The bike starts with just one kick in the morning but when i pull the choke it dies. And after that it takes 3-4 kicks to start. But if i don't touch the choke it does fire up in just one kick.
Also when i pull the choke n try to kick start, it doesn't start

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Why do you want to pull a choke when the bike is already started?? Are you upto some negative testing of your bike.Originally posted by sanjaynk15 View PostGuys I hav a peculiar problem! AFAIK its because when you pull choke, more petrol is flowed in which clogs the input.---------------------------------------------------------------------------
With great power comes great responsibility...

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Every bike does that. Choke is necessary only if temperature is too cold and bike does not start. Under normal conditions, it leads to extremely rich mixture and the bike stalls. After which the bike doesn't start till the excess petrol is used up.Originally posted by sanjaynk15 View PostGuys I hav a peculiar problem! Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Took my existing bike to exchange for gixxer and finalise the booking. But then they asked it for a very low rate of 58-67k Rs. I wish to sell my RTR for a higher rate as its just 2014 december ABS model and run only about 1560km. Since my exams have started, I have to wait for another month to exchange it and the rate will still decrease during exchange, with time. So booked only a scooter separately and came back disappointed. I wish to sell my RTR for a good price meanwhile and if not, I will have to go for a lower price during the exchange in the same or different showroom.
PS: Meanwhile, anyone from Chennai who is interested in buying my RTR for 75-80k Rs. can PM me
And the reason why I am selling my RTR is because I am getting persistent body pain as the dimensions of the bike are very tight for my height and I couldn't get accustomed to raw nature of the bike.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Sad to see that you are selling your bike, it's unfortunate that you couldn't accustom. Try moving gear lever and rear brakes forward with SVC, I heard that you can set it forward position, I never done but heard it somewhere.Originally posted by srinath2494 View PostTook my existing bike to exchange for gixxer and finalise the booking.
