Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
The bike is showing signs of insufficient amount of engine oil. I guess the level of oil has gone down. Check it with the help of the dipstick. After the oil change at the svc do check wether these problems are still there.Originally posted by hemnath View PostTVS Apache RTR 180 (2014 - ….)

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Hi Hemnath,Originally posted by hemnath View PostMy RTR 160 has run 27000 Kms, and recently i can see the performance has gone down. the engine emits more heat becomes harsh on few Kms of travel.
Till now i have done just regular servicing with oil change and the Oil filter change on the every servicing. I have also changed the Air Filter around 15000 kms.
I am taking my bike to SVC, should i have to tell them for anything specific.
If the engine is consuming engine oil then there might be some problems with the oil seeping into the combustion chamber resulting in oil lose.
To get this issue rectified please make sure you mention the prob to the respective SVC mechs.
Try to see how much of lose is there in terms of engine oil.

If the oil level is fine then you may try shifting to a better grade engine oil probably semi synthetic or full synthetic.
Your bike has seemed to run quite good no. Of kms so; if possible also get the carb cleaned, valves checked, tappet adjusted, clutch checked if not done already.
If the issue is minor and no significant damage has accrued then possibly doing the above should solve the problem you are facing.

A piece of advice:
Do upjet and retune the carb once you get the ffe.

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Some Say, the NGK Ir is better.. All we know is, you will need a spitfire cable with the NGK.Originally posted by sanjaynk15 View PostWhat is the cost of Bosch spark plug for rtr? Is it better to go for NGK Iridium? Some say it doesn't do any good and the bosch is better
Bosch R6 cost some Rs160. Where as NGK is Rs500+.

There's a lot of material on xbhp about race concepts modifications. Go through them and you won't need an answer to your question.Originally posted by harshil3604 View PostAnyone knows the price of raceconcepts exhaust system for rtr 180

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
Hello,
I am facing a small issue, when i reach above 3k rpms there is some strange noise coming from the right side of the handle kind of metal striking when the bike vibrates along with some plastic noise too. I have checked for some loose bolts but everything seems fine. Also today mrning i noticed a small trace of oil on the engine above the oil filter were there is a metal pipe connected. What can be the issue??

Re: TVS Apache RTR 180
First of all know that any modification to the engine might lead to loss of reliability and if you are not sure or dont fully understand what you are doing then its better to stay away from this.Originally posted by harshil3604 View PostAnyone knows the price of raceconcepts exhaust system for rtr 180

The price for the exhaust is around 10k.
I am running on custom built ffe but i knew what i was getting into and like i said if you're not sure or dont understand what's happening then its better stay away as you might end up with a damaged engine.
