Guys is there a loss of power or mileage if you are using shell ax7 ?
Someone pointed this out in the Engine oil thread here on xbhp.
I am going to buy the ax7 next month & these posts just deviate me from buying.

Using it from past 350kms.. No power loss! Engine feels a lot more smoother
U'll start to feel the difference after u cover 50 kms once the oil is changed!

No!!! it's best engine oil i have used engine runs much smoother and its good for highways.

Guys i have query, i had been to a 250KM ride and i could feel the power loss after sometime after continuous cruising at 100 KM\H while coming back.Should i give the bike a break every one hour?? i had pillion on board as well. mileage was pretty decent as it gave me between 35-37 KMPL! performance was very good!! but vibrations were a minor irritant. Vinrations do become a bother in longer rides.

It's been a long time after I come here, I lost interest in my bike and related things a long time ago but now it seems like getting that interest back !

What actually happened was 1 year back, I got into an accident that made my RTR no longer special or lovable , till the time of that accident I was keeping my RTR like it was my "precious", I don't know after that accident simply let my bike. It's my first time here since that accident, what actually happened was I was going on a long ride with my friend(he was pillion), I'm a sane rider and safety first man, I was driving like 40-45 kmph in road at that time, suddenly a truck reversed from a home to the rode and hit me from right side, we rolled from the bike. I just had some minor scratches but my friend's leg bone broke badly, and he had to put steel in leg in order to fix his leg. Police filed FIR and registered case against the truck driver for negligent driving, yet it wasn't my fault I somehow felt responsible for what happened to my friend, from that day on I never did really enjoyed riding, my bike !! Till that time I would clean, polish, wax and lube my bike every saturday, check my bike in SVC once in a month but everything changed after that ! I don't know why but I lost trust in my ride, I know it's not the fault of my bike nor me but you see that you'll have a special trust with your bike when you get close with it, I lost that.

Only now I could get it over with, and I'm starting to love my bike again ! Now I'm caring my bike like I used to be

              Odo : 17,500
              Oil : Motul 300v 15w50 FS.
              Everything else remains stock.

What makes me wonder now is how my bike is still giving me 45-kmph in moderate 60-70 city and highway mixed runs.

Now simplest DIY's are giving me pleasure, I do Chain cleaning & lube, Air filter cleaning, Carb tuning and spark plug cleaning. I learned it all from here, I'm a software eng. by profession but I spend most of my time researching about DIY's for my bike now and I was noob as pancake when I bought my bike, it was this forum and it's lovely members that helped me to learn the art of biking and bikes.

After a routine check, I'm uncertain whether my spark plug is fouled or not also I don't know how to read carb setting by the color of Spark plug ! I attached pic of my spark plug before I cleaned, please see to it and tell me how my bike is doing !!

Just skimmed through it, looking really inspiring and make me go for a ride this very night :P

I can't help but to say, there is no one that helped this section more than prateek did, I always wondered that how do you managed to keep interested in here ! I owe you a lot for your posts, I was as noob as pancake when I bought my bike, but this forum and you guys made me love the art of riding and biking !

It won't be the case in winter season.
You should give some break as engine will heat up heavily at summer's surrounding temperature.
If you continue running after heating up, you might need to change oil more frequently.

@Albert Paul : That feeling of not using the bike happens, when I had my first low slide (tvs tyres) within a month of buying the bike , I went through the same. So its a phase which you have passed.
As per the spark plug, looks okaish to me, rather sand the pointers with sand paper and change it as per the interval mentioned in the manual.

And thanks for the kind words, as I always wrote any issue that has not been discussed one can tag me, and whatever I can help with, I would reply for sure.

I suppose 100kmph with a pillion on board is a bit too much. Bike will run good if you stay <80 with a pillion. I do less than 80 with a pillion & <90 when going solo

I never changed my spark plugs since I bought my bike, and it's been 17K in ODO, shall I change it even if I don't see any visual issues nor performance ?

I was thinking about throwing a CR7EIX, I know about the controversies ! I've read a lot about it here, I've seen many members said against it yet some actual users said they got minimal performance uplift ! I couldn't find plug and spitfire cable local stores, do anyone know online shops who sell those ?

Also what did you guys done with the rusting of exhaust pipe ? especially downside !

Exactly man, these guys have nothing to be afraid of, their gigantic truck wont have a scratch, so they don't care about us !

Thank you man, is that Cable seller genuine ? somebody bought from him ?

Can't afford to buy plug with air filter, I would consider it if it was UNI's.

Anybody here using NGR IR with spitfire cables ? Also my spark cable seems to fuse together with the base !
