  • IN the days of my bikes stock glory, I've taken it to 12k without any issues. So goes that there is no rev limiter in the 180.
now, not pulling beyond a certain limit certainly means everything is not at it should be.. what is not, i'm not expert enough to say

        Correct me if am wrong.

The TCI advances and retards the ignition based on the position of throttle.

          • RTR's rev limiter is Based on the flywheel. It is inertia related. It's a mechanical rev limiter. The 180 having a bigger flywheel allows the bike to rev to 12000 RPM,while the 160s' smaller flywheel limits it's revving.

Could it be because of the bigger piston in yours?Larger weight?

Absolutely no knowledge was behind this answer ...Just a guess

              • Fit the RTR 180 with factory ABS

                Hi,

I own an Apache RTR 180 and wanted to know if i can get the new ABS system fitted on the RTR 180. Would it be a possible to do so? What would be the pros and cons of doing so?

                    It is not possible Buddy.

Enjoy your ride. Try using both brakes (70% front and 30% rear) progressively. All will be fine
The Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. Enjoy RTR, Safely. Period.

Secondly new guy had posted a post saying tht the bike has a joeled carb which is 32mm . As it is time taking buisness to get the carb all the way from bangalore to punjab , so i thought it will be easier to source it here itself. So plzz tell me will tht carb from 220 suit my overpowered beast...??

@deception- i think there is space to fit the bs 32.

Sorry for replying so late. I dont have the bigger carb in my bike. Joel said he'd modified the existing carb instead of using the bigger one.
I 'm still having vibe issues and still working on re jetting but no avail. have asked Joel to send his bigger carb to see if that solves the problem.

Can you guys help me with the same? when its cold the bike is vibe free in every gear even at very hi rpms. but when it gets hot or when the sun comes out, the vibes make it difficult to rev above 5 k rpm.
                      Please share your suggestions.

                      • HID + Angel Lighting

Anyone know where i can get HID + Angel Eye Lighting for the Apache RTR 180?

What is the recommended options? Also i saw a video on Youtube where the bike was light under the rear tyres and the engine as well. Is that safe to do?

Where can i get this done for a good bargain in and around Mumbai / Navi Mumbai / Thane? What would be the approx cost for this setup?

                        Thanks

this should have been posted in the lighting thread anyways, i would help u with some of ur queries.

1.instead of going for angel eye and hid seperately, go for a projector setup which has both. U can get it it frm bike modifying shops, for exact details ask mumbai xbhpians, drifty can surely help u.

                          2. The video u had seen i suppose the title was bixenon proj. On apahce by vishal, if yes then tht bike has been installed with a projector, hid, blue angel eye i.e in the proj, under tank led's and some led's have been fixed at the rear too.

                          3. The projector setup varies from 2k to 5k depends on the hid's temperature, quality, functions such as night glow, smoke effects etc. A setup with everything i doubt u can get in mumbai, but is surely available at delhi, will cost u a 5k including a new reflector, so u can save ur own for stock riding. Check out Bi-Xenon Hid Kit, Bi-Xenon projector, Bi-Xenon headlights, Angel Eyes, Projector Headlights, Projector Headlights for R15, performance parts in delhi, performance parts in karol bagh, riding parts in delhi, Bike Modification shop in delhi, HID light and go to the videos section and check out the proj setup for r15's u will get an idea.

Note- have been using 6000k hid for abt 9 months on my apache and for abt 1.5 years on the hh ss, no problems yet and im highly satisfied. If u want the max out of the hid setup, do coil rewinding (check dc setup thread). Thts all.

Yes, Anton Auto at Kaimanam, the first TVS Motor dealer in Trivandrum. Then came Logtech TVS at PMG Plamoodu one way road. An authorised SVC (not a dealer) named Pooja TVS is there at Nedumangadu though
