We've got to check the tire pressure at least every week. Mine would be couple or a little more psi's down after a week. If this is the case (i think not), it's normal. And try to fill air when the tires are kinda cold, like depend on the nearest filling station for the purpose.Originally posted by deception View PostThe Apache is ever willing to red line each cog, but the Rider ain't. They flatten in 7 days!!
.Low pressure in 2 days
Thorough inspections reveal no punctures
And uneven wear has resulted in a bike that is Uninspiring in straights but extremely good at cornering, giving mean lean angles!!

Check the valve. There maybe some leakage either around the valve or side-walls.Originally posted by deception View PostThey flatten in 7 days!!

It's ur Carb Float that does this. Take it to ASC & do a carb clean-up & everything will be fine.Originally posted by pranav_salieri View Postguys fuel is leaking out of carb waste pipe what do i do??? i am losing fuel like hell because of this!

I initially thought that the battery wouldn't support it and so did not bother much. But I noticed today that it doesnt flicker when on idle. My further t/s led to the conclusion that the headlight flickers (with the indicators ON) only when the engine revs to more than 4K RPM.
Any suggestions/pointers to get this fixed?

have done with my service 24 days back (sory for late reply i was busy the studies) odo meter reading was 2185 and tuned my card and the changed the engine oil tvs true 4 u semi synthetic 10w40
other lubrication done and mileage is also gud bro around 38 now my main concern is the top speed by bike touches 110 very easily the the top speed is 123 top at 8.5k rpm in top gear and after that i cant push the bike like its stuck on 8.5 k rpm 123 top speed with full throttle what should i do for that??
can u help me eith this is the TPS is creating a problem?? like it was happening with utkarsh stunty sharma?? thanks for the replies
@all any humble replies will be appreciated as i know very less
carb setting is done for balance of fuel efficiency and performance i guess but chain in not tight and lubed properly and tyres are also having proper air filled
any comments??

Firstly, i thought TVS TRU 4 semi synthetic is 10w30... are you sure its 10w40?Originally posted by shiwaan View Posthave done with my service 24 days back (sory for late reply i was busy the studies) odo meter reading was 2185 and tuned my card and the changed the engine oil tvs true 4 u semi synthetic 10w40

Secondly, check you spark plug, and determine if its running lean or rich...
I dont think apache can touch 123 @ 8.5k rpm...
My bikes does 91-92 kmph @ 7krpm... so 8.5k rpm cant be 123...
Even i had a problem of engine not revving above 8.5k rpm in 5th gear... Will discuss about it once we confirm if the bike is running lean/normal and if the air filter is clean and if the reading is correct...
I'm not sure about what i'm saying, its just a guess.Originally posted by nisnth View PostPosting again.. the post got lost in the last year
My opinion is that, this flickering is something that happens when there is excessive load on the power supply(i.e. the battery in this case).
Our bike battery is made to handle 35 watt bulbs, if you put in a 55 watt bult it will obviously not bear the load.
Modding bikes without proper knowledge about it and cribbing about it on forums because no one is answering you queries is lame.
There is an entire thread which deals with these kind of stuff, take some time to go through it and actually understand instead of rolling your eyes...Last edited by saipranav; 01-02-2012, 02:47 PM.Apache 180

This info is from the following thread
Apache is having ac dc electricals and a 35 watt halogen bulb which runs on ac.magneto is a two phase system.weirdly its rr is one of a kind, takes juice from both ac phase and converting it to dc and finally to battery.it can have a company claimed 100watt or so generator but the truth is it will not even support a simple h4 55/60 bulb directly.
moreover coil rewinding and running a higher watt bulb in ac mode like many do in pulsys will also not work as the rr will fail as of its uniqueness.
I guess you just swapped the stock 35w bulb with a 55w one without any coil rewinding or dc conversion, I guess you will need dc conversion before running anything over stock.

Repainting..
My bike is about 2.5 years old and have a thought of painting my black apache white..Is there a place in Bangalore where i can get it done..Perfect painting like the stock RTR 180 white... Please suggest..
@all :Had a bad experiance today..My front tubeless tire got punctured, when i went to the puncture shop, was shocked to find a tube inside
Once i went to fix a slight wheel bend in JC Road ,the mech over there told to come after 1 hour..It was the first time my 180's front wheel was removed ..Guess that was when he replaced it with a tube and removed the tube less mouth piece.. I should have stayed there when tat guy removed the wheel bend..Felt really bad today..

I feel something which is beyond words.
That is the thing which makes my bike special, me special, the whole ride seem exceptional .
