hmm..really as far as i remeber the bull was also roaring and came like he wants to meet his brother rtr with ffe.

sure will get a LS2 next time , but the sad part is that the recovery will take atleast 1 week, so no biking till then.

    thnxx bro

thnxx, but this animals running on road is really a very dangerous situation, just 3 months ago i had jumped my bike unfortunately over a dog at around 80kmph. yup will go for full gear tht i had planned earlier also, but was due .

    thnxx bro.

i had planned before, now its time to execute the plan.

yea tht was very scary , thnxx.

thnxx, yes the ffe is a totally bull and dog magnet for sure. Drifty wat do i tell u , can u believe my rvm's , silencer guard and handle bar ends got stolen from the bike in 1 night, will get the rvm's soon.

thnxx, will get proper gear soon.Any good brand other than alpinestar..??
Alpinestar as we all know is very expensive..apart from alpinestar i personally would suggest Rjays "octane", its a VFM jacket, fits snugly, the protection is also top notch..only dampener is the cost(around7k)you can do a google search for the details..
Apart from this the next best option is DSG Nero(5.5k), its waterproof & has a very gud protective unit, JK-17 from Scoyco(3.8k) has enjoyed great reviews all over& the protection, many say is better than DSG...
As far as a good helmet is concerned go for a Daijiya helmet anyday, looks good, protects even better..cost should be around 4-4.5k

Enjoy your ride. Try using both brakes (70% front and 30% rear) progressively. All will be fine
      Hi,

I just spoke to the TVS service centre today and they confirmed that the ABS can be fitted on the bike.

The ABS is actually a kit that TVS has launched for the RTR series, however the cost for this setup is a steep Rs. 20,000/-. Quite expensive!!!

Is it worth the money charged?

      • ^^i think it will void your warranty... its not worth. its like fitting a fuel injection system to the RTR180..not worth it....if you really want ABS so badly then check this out

The Service centre said that the ABS kit is sold for the RTR 180. The Service center said it takes a week for it to be fitted on the bike.

So it seems like TVS has launched it with the intent of allowing non ABS RTR 180s' to be fitted with the factory ABS (Manufacturer ABS). I believe the same is also available for the Honda CBR 250 (Combined ABS is sold for around 30k).\

I want to know what is the performance of the RTR 180 ABS and how does it compare to the RTR 180 (non ABS)????

1.) As the guy is talking about "TVS" ABS kit, I don't think it will void the warranty in anyway.

2.) Its very much worthy to get it installed if someone wants an ABS enabled bike. Though, by this I don't mean 20K INR is a justified price.

3.) The ABS system mentioned in the link provided by you is nowhere close to the one provided by Continental (the TVS one). Its like comparing Impulse to KTM's 800+cc Off-roaders.

Anyways, I still doubt if it can be installed on non-ABS bikes. Please confirm it from TVS Headquaters instead of believing in stupid SVC(most of them). Moreover, pricing it for 20K is simply indigestible.

I have sent them an inquiry on this subject .I will check with TVS folks and find out what they have to say.

I agree the price is too steep, but quality does come at a price???

Yes, mainly because for all queries on TVS Apache Facebook page, the company have declined this. And why 20K when the ABS variant is itself 10K over than stock RTR?

My both knees got bruised, right hand scratched badly, wrist has swelling and in this cold it even worsens, my head was saved due to my gliders helmet which took all the beating and got severe cracks, my back got saved even after 4-5 rolls on tarmac due to my reebok bag.

Will be visiting the svc as the bike is lying there, will have to claim the insurance too. Huh pretty bad experience
it sad to hear that.......get well soon bro ....... take care
