    • Hey guyz, 800kms on the ODO n still due for the first service.. my bike feels very harsh, the gears are not operating properly, facing engine hiccups in 2nd and 3rd gear, chain noise, etc Just to mention it i have not crossed 4k rpm n top speed reached 63kmph. The problems are arising because i did not change my engine oil on time rite??

the workshop supervisor told me to come on Wednesday as the service ppl are on holiday for EID..

        There isn't ant spring.
There is rubber bush. Just put in OIL. let it reach bush, Put in wire hook and pull it outside.
There's lot to it other than saddle....

After extensive research over the internet i chose NOT to follow the manual and follow the Hard ripping method. Initially my engine was rough and grunty and i was getting around 32 to 34 KMPL fuel average. After around 300 + Kms following hard ripping method, I can feel that my bikes engine is far more refined and the strange thing is I am getting 45 to 48 KMPL fuel economy. I was not sure about this but i checked this 4 to 5 time and same fuel economy.

Secondly make sure that you are extra careful with TVS tires. I dunno why the idoits in the TVS put such a crappy tyres in this powerhouse bike. Be careful with wet roads. All the best and I am sure you gonna enjoy one hell of a ride

Mate. could you please elaborate further, the method you used to run-in your engine...??

            Cheers

            • Its clear from that your AFR is not proper...enrich it...I guess the problem will go...Refer to this link on Team BHP http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/motorb...atio-bike.html....But I would say take it to SVC and make it done(If u trust ur SVC)

does turning the screw 1\2 in anti clockwise direction do the work .

Did Anyone use Motul 300v 15w-50 for RTR180. please tell em about ur experience with it. Last time i used Motul 5100 15w-50 and have to drain it out because someone said it was too thick for the RTR. One Mech Suggested me that Motul 300v is the best oil available for Indian power bikes in the fully synthetic range and is quite up to the mark for its price range.

Okay. But, what about those who're planning for some trip to some colder places, say, Manali/Kashmir/Leh?

Then choose an oil with the lowest lower number..ie.,0 W 40 ,5 W 40, which will still be of 0 or 5 weight oil at lower temperature.
