  • @nisnth - yes, that the correct bolt to adjust the beam. Also, the halogen bulb is in proper way. There is no way you can rotate the bulb once in the socket. And yes, all headlight beam, especially high beam will be bit off the centre. In left hand drive places, the beam will be more to the left. This is to avoid glare to the oncoming vehicles. Dont worry too much about that...

Thanks for the reply. I had guessed that , but wanted to be sure... This wait for 1000kms to complete is terrible... Hence I'm getting hyper at such things !!

i am about to use veedol superswift SS 10w40 in my RTR180 please share ur experinces with this oil. i am currently using Petronas Sprinta FS 10w40. the peteronas has a good effect on the vibrations and the they are gone now for sure than before. i can ride my bike at 60-72km\h for a long time and i dont feel the pain in my arms. but the petronas doesnt has the somethness in gear shifts as the motul 5100 15w50 which i used before. so does the veedol has the characteristics for smooth gear shifts? let me know. any other suggestions are welcome but right now i cant afford a Rs.1000 for oil so i might switch back to semi-synthetic. so is the veedol make any good difference?. also let me know about the Motul 300v 15w50 FS. heard its a good oil.

Just a thought. you should stick to one brand and grade preferably.

Motul 300v FS is good but expensive. No idea about Veedol or Petronas.

Its better if one sticks to one brand of oil instead of changing brand every time for oil change.

            • Good news

              Hi RTRians,

Some good news for you (if you haven't heard it)...

I heard that few owners in Bangalore who were complaining abt the wheels locking up, were given the ABS version for 3 months to test it. It seems 6 such bikes were given... heard it from the TVS go-down fellow (while I was getting my new bike polished) !!

Seems like ABS is on its way soon...and hopefully we can get it fitted to existing bikes as well..

Meghdoot? I went there once when I came to b'lore, and they did the work (replace front disc, disc pads front and back) within 1hr.
