Have tried stuffing in with cloth, but it won't suffice. Will try a strap. Also am going in for 1st service in a few days. I will be changing the oil. So which one should I go for? Also are there other things need to be done other than one's mentioned in service manual? And how much time does it take for servicing to be done??

straping also didnt remove all noise( kerala roads) so what i did was rolled each tool inside a single long cloth , packed then into cover, then straped it to bike!!

@abhiwar - awaiting your reply... reg: "complete assembly" you mentioned. Is it the grey color part which has the oil drain nut in the middle?

Service takes no more than a day.. u give the bike by 8am and take it back by 5pm. Its ok to let TVS put their oil for the first service (despite its bad reputation). But if you want to change, stick to some mineral oil of xW40 grade. dont let the SVC guys feed you any bull sh*t of warranty void etc when using another oil.

Regarding the revs going up. Tell it to SVC. maybe the clutch cable is not properly tightened and it slipped; cant think of anything else.... Also keep an eye on the console if its having any issues. There should not be anything.

Hmm.. so it takes nearly a day. Was thinking of checking out what they actually do in servicing to My Babe as it might come handy. The console came back to normal after on/off, but will keep an eye as You said.
Also, what's the rough cost of xW40 and chain lube spray and is Yamaha chain lube good?
                      Thanks a lot!

hehe... actually it takes an hr or two max.. but the SVC generally dont let ppl into their servicing area, and mostly never gives it after work done. They do it in batches i think.

xW40 mineral oil should be around 200 bucks.

I've not used Yamaha chain lube, or even the TVS lube. Used only Motul chain lube. I hear the TVS chain lube is also pretty good...

Motul chain lube cost 480. SVC will lube the chain, but with what - they only know!
