Hi guys I own a cl 350 which is just one and a half month old and done 700 km. Last week I gave it for first service, but after that a strange noise like krrrrrrrr is coming from the front brake lever whenever it is applied at speed in excess of 40kmph below 40 it is not that audible but above 40 it is very much audible.
Can any one out there tell me what this noise is and any one have noticed it on their bull. Please help me out, would be very grateful

It can be due to dirt/small stones that got into front disc..Originally posted by amit71176 View PostHi guys I own a cl 350 which is just one and a half month old and done 700 km. Hey Bro, no use of contacting every week. They will give the same story. Please go to the dealership personally. Make sure he is fed up of seeing your face. There are many favors being processed in the showroom, seen it myself when I booked the Classic 500 in 2010. 8 Month waiting period changed to 3 months just like that. Only almighty knows how these distributors really function. I once again tell you and dont care who disagrees, the demand is artificial. Please use all your might, get your bull delivered.Originally posted by sree_unicorn View PostCongratulations....You are lucky..I am waiting since July.Every week contacting agency but no use.Don't know when I will get mine..Motorcycle Trip log - Summer ride to N. Please take your bull to any mechanic who knows to replace a Disk brake pad. Remove the disk brake pad. Dust and/or wash the entire assembly. Ask him to check the disk itself if it has any damage. Put the disk pad back and try your luck once again. The only time I get sound from front disk brake is when dirt accumulates in the assembly. Let us know if this worked.Originally posted by amit71176 View PostHi guys I own a cl 350 which is just one and a half month old and done 700 km. Guys i have been using Turtle wax to polish my bike and i have noticed that that tyre colour has faded from black to grayish. Is their any polish/rubing compound to make the tyre black? My bike is 2 years old and has covered 18k kms. And recently i changed the oil to 20w50 from shell is it ok? I feel the bike is a lot smoother now. There ain't no devil, ther'e just God when he's drunk.

I use Turtle wax on all my vehicles. If it touches any rubber or vinyl part, it leaves a white residue. For car tyres, there are sprays available which can be used to make them shiny black. Do not use these on bike tyres since they will be prone to skidding. Most tyres will again turn grey after few weeks of usage.Originally posted by jayanth_b_p View PostGuys i have been using Turtle wax to polish my bike and i have noticed that that tyre colour has faded from black to grayish. I have recently bought Turtle polish, is it okay to use it on the chromed parts?? I have noticed that when i cold start the bike every morning, there is a thud/jerk when i slot it into first gear, after this initial jerk, there is no issue at all. I think this is more pronounced on cold mornings. Is anyone else facing this problem?

check the tension of your chain. If your chain is loose this will happen.Originally posted by chotu_r View PostI have recently bought Turtle polish, is it okay to use it on the chromed parts?? You can put the turtle wax on the chrome, no problem. But avoid the silencer part and the bend tube.
Yah thats true ... but you can put the shiner on the side walls if you wantOriginally posted by abdriver2000 View PostI use Turtle wax on all my vehicles. But it is advised not to, thats true.______________________________________________________________

Tested the TB 500 this morning! First impression bike feels much smaller and lighter. Lighter may be because of better ergonomics, its actually heavier on paper, but making it smaller wasn't a good idea RE!
The engine, now the well known 500EFI, packs quite a punch! good grunt, very Torquey.. but the exhaust note is terribly messed up! its neither punchy like the others nor smooth like the old TBs and looks like a cheap after market fabrication!
Head lamp, Angel eyes, Speedo Console, Switchgear, Fuel tank - Looks, feels and works good!
Seating position is good and comfy as usual.. but the prominent edge of the pillion seat interferes if the rider is very tall and tries to move back..
Seat, back rest, front mud guard, silencer - looks either cheap or flimsy. The Test bikes back rest upholstery stitches were already giving up. and there was visible Rust in the silencer! on a brand new bike ? worth 1.8L are you kidding us RE ??
Brakes upfront are solid, rear ones are quite Vague, but does slow the bike down, may be needs a bit of running in.
Tires @ 18" Rims with MRF Zappers like on the Classic 350 & 500 are good for handling and breaking, but the bike looses the gigantic look without the old 19in. rims!
Even the TB350 comes with the same styling as the 500 @ 1.4Lks
Quality has surely improved, but still a lot of rough edges to smooth out, and not much attention to detail..
The Bluish Black shade (think its called Twilight) is real good in flesh!
Pricing seems ok when compared to the other bikes in the RE Range. But the entire RE Stable is slightly overpriced! Still there isnt a glitch free Enfield, even the UCE is famous for the Oil Leaks. I had a terrible time keeping nuts and bolts in place in my 1983 Std.
The biggest disappointment in buying the 500 is you pay 40K extra from the 350 TB, and there is no differentiator, to a layman its the same bike!
Wait time for TB500 - 4 months TB350 - 6-7 month. Booking amount - 5K. Incase of loan, Max funding is 60%.

Absolutely my friend. I felt exactly the same. I own a TBTS Twin spark model. But the reduction of the wheel base has made the bike look small.
Thats is what i did not like at all. Thunderbird was famous for its longish look. And now the bike seemed to be kind of small.
But I think if they provide a full black version of Thunderbird without the chrome, then the bike may look far far better______________________________________________________________

I test-rode a TBTS 500 a few days back. I found that there was no difference in the braking efficiency between the rear disc brake of TBTS 500 and the drum brake of my son's Classic 500. When asked about it, the sales guy informed that they deliberately tweaked it so that riders would not skid and fall down, which was the case before tweaking! I took that statement with a pinch of salt. Secondly, while I liked the rider's seat comfort of TBTS 500 compared to Classic 500, my wife liked the pillion seat of Classic 500 more than that of TBTS 500.
The sales guy also informed me that there was no warranty for stony black [matte finish] shade and pointed a sticker pasted on the petrol tank, which said so.

Looks like the TBTS 500 will go down in history as a stylish bull rather than a bike you can rely on. Im eagerly waiting for the longterm pillion rider comfort reviews. Classic is a grand success and I give it to RE for that. Warranty is the core issue with RE in my long list. Warranty potrays the confidence of a manufacturer. It tells the world how well you build it, it reflects the confidence and trust for a consumer. Sadly that has not been the case with RE (12 month warranty). So now they started selling something (color) they dont have a clue about. It wont be long with this trendline, their bulls will comeout with No Warranty! Its such a shame.Originally posted by J.Ravi View PostI test-rode a TBTS 500 a few days back.
