1. Has the thumping sound of the bike been compromise? compare with the old TBTS?
2. How is the ride and handling in city.
3. Mileage per litre. (though I am not concern about mileage, just want to know?)"on eagles' wings"

I think its thump is same as old TBTS(stock),in new model you can't fix any after market silencers. It will spoil the look and may damage the engine(told by ASC)
2. How is the ride and handling in city?
Handling is amazing..you can handle it like a splendor and the ride quality is superb its new front fork and rear suspensions doing its duty well.
3.Mileage per liter.?
We can expect the average FE of 43..didn't checked yet, will update with in this week.

Dealer's Name?
I booked my "Thunderbird 500" from Technik motors (Ulsoor) 3rd day after the launch and was told it will take a mimimum of 3~4 months to get the motorcycle. Just wondering which dealer is delivering this fast?Originally posted by sree_unicorn View PostThank you bond bhai....ya now I should change my User ID but I am having a special feeling to my Unicorn , it is with me for almost 5 yrs and for me its very difficult to sell her,so planning to send it to my home town.I will miss her here in Bangalore..

) but one of my friend booked his TBTS500 on same day of launch(11-Oct) and he got his bird before me.You have to follow-up with your dealer frequently thats the lesson I learned..they are not going to make a call to tell you that your bike is ready ....I am sure.

I booked before you i.e in June'12 and still have not got it because I didnt follow up (deliberately). On official launch day I went there to get it shifted to new model and came back. havent called them yet as still I am not sure to buy or not. 8 months delivery time is all a hoax and loads of BS that RE tells you. May be they are trying to create a hype.Originally posted by sree_unicorn View PostI booked mine on July 2012
@sree unicorn : Are you using it for your daily commute to office ? How does it handle in rush hour traffic like in HAL/Whitefield/Silk Board/KR Puramsite:xbhp.com keyword -> Google this to dig up stuff in xbhp faster

This is the right time to go and ask about your bike since the Bangalore dealers received loads of bikes from RE last week.Originally posted by kantu View PostI booked before you i.e in June'12 and still have not got it because I didnt follow up (deliberately). In city traffic I didn't felt any difficulties to handle this 198 KG machine .Only thing we have to take care in the slow moving traffic that engine should not get over heated till the first service completes .
I hope you will be receiving your TB shortly ...All the best...

Tb350 @480kms issues & concerns
things i have been annoyed with till now @480kms...not yet gone for servicing...thinking to go @600kms instead of 500 due to lack of time.
1)the rear disk brake had scraping sound which was fixed by removing whole tyre & filing the disk brake pads with a filer.
2)the rear disk brake started making a sound which was being made by the disk pads as they took time to settle-in after a day or two the sound vanished
3)the side-stand nut came-off had to tightened it manually...thank god i didnt lost it as the spares aren't available yet...
4)twice my rear disk brake was locked for a second or two on a empty road at a speed of 50km making my vehicle skid sideways for a feet or two...
5)my key-holder was loosened up checked it n found that one of the nuts holding it has been lost n another is ready to come out as well...fixed it manually..now the key-holder stands on a single nut but fixed enough... 6)the speedo unit vibrates alot in 1st n 2nd gear...may be here too there is some nut issue to be fixed. 7)no vibrations at speed of 50-70 but no thumping too... 8)my steering slightly shakes (im not saying it vibrates...im trying to say it just shakes abit left n right something like its not able to balance well...but its hardly noticeable i myself found it after i was told by my bro...i still sometimes dont find such a thing but i do feel it once in a day or two...i have checked by leaving my hands at speeds of 30-40 n found no such imbalanced thing but i dont know y i found this prob rarely though) when i start to race my vehicle.
9)when i was delivered my vehicle i found it wasn't feeling the same as test drive vehicle...went for an air check found the pressure to be at 42-front n 48-rear i was shocked as the manual says 22-front 32-rear...i kept it at 25-front 35-rear which gives me good balance+road grip+mileage(36in city) 10)whenever i start my vehicle n keep it on idling after few seconds it stops n never starts until i use the choke...may be im doing it wrong somewere.
11)the rear view mirrors are placed in a completely wrong position whenever i start sitting on my vehicle the left rvm just touches my left hand n looses the correct position..that means every time i sit on my vehicle i have to set the left rvm...may be my way of sitting has to be adjusted a bit. 12)in center-stand position when i put it in first gear and pull the whole clutch n check my rear wheel it still rotates as if im not pulling the whole clutch. THESE ARE MY DOZEN ISSUES & FEW QUERIES...CAN ANYBODY HERE TELL ME WHICH OF THESE ARE NORMAL & WHICH OF THESE ARE EASY TO BE TAKEN ISSUES & WHICH OF THESE ARE INSTANTLY TO BE TAKEN CARE OF ISSUES.New Duke 390 my2017... finally
