    Possible causes-
1-Handle bar-did u check how free ur handle bar is.The culprit should be the cone.Handle bar mite be tight. You can check by putting the bike in centre stand and checking whether the handle bar turns left or right freely. If its tight it wouldn't.
    2-Front tyre air pressure

It's been just 2 days since I've got my TBTS, so my view may be slightly premature.. But nevertheless.. I went for a 1 hour night ride just a while back, and I am not all that pleased with the headlight. Sure, the LED ring is unique and the sweeping projection effect looks good, but the headlight beam's throw is too short for me (when on low beam). Maybe I could get it adjusted a bit from the ASC in order to get a longer throw. As far as the high beam is concerned, the distance of the throw is okay.. But I would have liked more brightness and 'strength'.. Seems somewhat weak. After all the expectations and initial hullaballoo about the improved headlights, I have to say, they aren't quite up to the mark as far as expectations are concerned. Don't know if anything more can be done to improve the headlight strength (high beam)..

      • I am thinking of fitting a remote controlled central lock on my TBTS for anti theft purposes. Can anyone suggest a good product option for this? I am completely new to anti theft devices, so I have very little idea about what products are available and where.. I am based in Pune btw..

you could try fitting headlight dome to improve the brightness, i will be trying it out soon, though it might spoil the look a bit.

I am using a disk brake lock which i purchased from shopclues.com
In case u fit an anti theft system, do take care to keep the wiring and the buzzers concealed inside one of the side panels, i've seen bikes on which the buzzers and wiring are exposed. wont mean much for all the effort if someone can just cut the wire and disable the system. do post here about your experience if you install an anti theft system.

              • If the strength of the headlight is the point of concern i guess it can be sorted out if you use an HID.I am using one in my 220 and am more than satisfied.I did a Mumbai-Bangalore ride at night and it was quite good.

                • Finally took a test ride of the new TB350. Handling was obvisouly not good. But having ridden old model, footpegs placement is a little better. But the kicker was really soft, why is it that ? I couldnt fire it up using kicker, and used self start.
I felt the console could have been bigger, old model one was perfect.

                    • Hey Vinay..I have a question.. When we view Trip A or Trip B on the digital display, what does that 'AVG' refer to? Is it the average speed for that trip, or the mileage obtained for that trip (also referred to as 'average' in common language)...

                      • Battery Terminal check

Something happened few hours back. While on Neutral I noticed the green Neutral bulb go from high to low, just like an indicator, just that this was happeneing in slow motion. It looked like the battery was dying but with the battery not even 2 years old that was unlikely. However as I mentioned before in my threads, the battery was something I neglected on my bull for almost a year. Anyway, coming to the topic, the electric start would not work. As soon as I pushed the ignition the Neutral light would go dead. So I kick start the bull and went about with some more work I had in town.

Once the bull was running all electricals starting with bulb horn was running perfect. So I thought it was just one off incident. Usually when a battery is about to die, it gives you symptoms atleast 6 months prior it fails. This I say from my experience. Batterys just dont fail on you. So I parked my bike and went about my work. Only this time to my horror when I returned all electricals seized to function. When I turned on the ignition key, no neutral light, no horn, meter was dead, everything out. Yet I knew it was not the fuse because the Neutral light was still doing its slow motion blinking. I kicked the bull to start atleast 20 times but the bull refused to start.

With no other option, I pushed the bike to my mechanic who was just 1 Km away. Luck or fate I dont know. Pushing a bull is one hellafa labour. After reaching the mechanic, he took a voltmeter and checked the battery terminal and the battery seemed just fine. He checked battery terminal for loose contact and that is what he found. He removed the battery terminal and found thick black/gray dirt (possibly accumulated during the dusty Ladakh terrain). He cleaned the terminas and connected them to the battery. The electricals came back to life and electric start worked wonders.

What puzzled me was what I asked the mechanic as well, with fuel in the bike why did the engine not start with kick start. The mechanic said the entire bullet circuit is running on the battery. He demonstrated the same. With the bull running, he pulled out one terminal from the battery to cut the circuit and the engine just went dead!!! As much as I was pissed, the system should have had a backup design to function even if the battery were dead. I understand this system for an EFI model, but for the carburetor ones, the bike should have been given the capability to run without battery.

Anyways, now with lesson learned, I wanted to share this with fellow xBhpians so that you keep your battery in good condition and terminals cleaned every service.

Thanks for sharing. I am also having some weird problems, the electric wire to the horn is the cause of my headache for now. It broke off clean from the terminals while i was cruising on highway. At the time, i thought it might be due to vibrations at high speed and stuck it up with insulation tape. later, i did a more permanent job with m-seal. now it has broken off again during another ride. i finally figured that the heat from the engine is making the wire go brittle and the vibrations are finishing the job. have taped up everything in sight with insulation tape to protect from engine heat. now i will see if asc can provide a more permanent solution.

                          • @madelikeagun: this is the case with every bike that has full DC electrical setup. a big disadvantage i would say, anything happens to your battery/lighting/horn ckt, and you can't even run the engine.
