I am expecting delivery of my TBTS 350 next week (around Dec 3 or 4). Can someone advise regarding the pre-delivery inspections and other checks that should be done from my side before taking delivery of the bike? Also, is it advisable to do a 200-250 km long journey in the immediate 2-3 days after taking delivery of the bike (while maintaining the speed limit of under 60kmph)? Please advise.. Thanks!

I concur with you, the mileage of TBTS is remarkable. You can avoid those stains on your engine by doing a full engine repacking. They will just do a re-Seal. (Make sure they dont fiddle with anything else inside the engine) I highly recommend every 12-15000Kms on a bull. Mine was done at 14500Kms. The Engine seal that that was applied by the Service center (@6000Kms) did not last for more than 3000Kms. The second time I got the engine sealing done from outside. Till date, the engine exterior looks dry like dust. As you have covered only 6000Kms I would not touch the engine yet.

exhaust for tbts

has anyone at hyderabad changed their tbts exhaust? i do not want to change my carb settings as i am already getting only approx. 35kmpl. i have seen the short bottle silencer from RE and they are quoting around 3.2k, am not really convinced that it is making better sound than my current stock exhaust. i want the sound to be melodious and bassy.

congrats 4 getting new t'bird. i guess the front wheel rim is a bit out of whack and needs to be checked for misalignment. i also had trouble with the screeching sound from front disk, just got it filed down and cleaned for dust every time till the problem went away. you could save yourself some trouble by keeping a set of wrenches in handy and tightening all the loose nuts yourself.

i think got the same type of silencer from RE showroom at the time of delivery and i paid 1.8 k for it. its simple plug n play job. no need to change any settings and about sound, yeah its melodious and has a very good thump. and i dint notice any change in mileage. if you want more thump you can order a glasswool silencer from ranigunj and they charge you around 15-1600. but it reduces mileage by a few kms.

i stay in mehdipatnam.

Were all those kms in City ? I know its too early to ask but whats the mileage that you are getting in city ?

50% in City and I used to go for early morning rides over NICE road and Ring road(I Was strictly following the run-in rules)...

Same day of delivery filled with 13 ltrs of petrol + 3 ltrs RE filled=total 16ltrs.After 468 KMs still 2 bars(approx 5 ltrs) are remaining

I fall in love with TBTS (350 and 500) in first sight, i really like the new look of TBTS, if everything goes fine will be a proud owner of TBTS soon, Dealer said 2-3 months waiting period for TBTS 500?

thanks loner. i was torn choosing between goldstar from sans and short bottle. then i saw the youtube videos to compare both and now i've decided to plonk short bottle only.
