Why are you looking for a mechanic for the ninja. Isnt there a Bajaj service station which is equipped to service the ninja in your city?
Frame sliders also protect the fairings in the event of a fall. Most of them are installed to protect these fiber/plastic bits.Originally posted by rajivenky View Postframe slider protects the frame and no so much the fairings!!
I've not heard of fairing sliders though.

There crash bobbins/frame sliders for it. which Abhisek(FieroF2 for xbhp) & Balenopower(for T-bhp) has put in.Originally posted by n_aditya View PostFrame sliders also protect the fairings in the event of a fall. Most of them are installed to protect these fiber/plastic bits.

That would be meOriginally posted by n_aditya View PostI guess DSG is selling these sliders too. No idea how good they are mate. The only way to find out is by testing its crash worthiness which is not the best way.
If i understand the construction of this slider, there is no main bolt that goes through the engine housing. It only is fixed onto the frame via the metal brackets. How strong they are is what even I am curious to know. In a crash it might survive and protect the fairings but on the other hand, it might disintegrate and even crack the fairing.
There is a member on team bhp with the ID - balenopower. He has a black ninja and just got these sliders. Try sending him a PM for more info.
. Found them to be pretty good.

Could you please let us know how these were installed on the bike? I mean is there a bolt that goes through the engine mount or so or is it just bolted to the frame?
Well you gotta complain to Bajaj. Your manual has a customer service number. Call them and see what happens.Originally posted by poor_guy_despobiker View Postnaa man ...i still dont know yet but the way they have responded on phone regarding to some queries on phone and they keep transferring it to another person and give execuses to call me back on some queris regarding heating and needle reaching H and other
I had a minor issue during one of my visits and the manager of the Probiking center was pretty responsive when i complained.ATGATT - Because hospital ceilings are boring !!!

frankly speaking i did not see the guy fix it, by the time i gave it to him and left to get a bottle of water, the fairing was already open. and there was less space so cudnt really go in and see what was happening. Cost me 6k.My life revolves around wheels..Zigwheels!

I got these installed last Saturday. The brackets are attached to the body using two bolts that are actually engine mount points. Existing bolts used for mounting the engine are replaced with a slightly longer one to attach the bracket. Quality of the hardware is good. And the installation is clean. You can easily remove the slider ( if you don't like it ) later without opening the fairing.Originally posted by n_aditya View PostI guess DSG is selling these sliders too. I think it will withstand small falls. Not sure about a high speed crash.
The fitting should be done by a professional with good tools, with bike on a proper stand. Also good idea to support the engine from bottom, when removing bolts.
