        • Ninjettes, I'm trying to buy a Rear wheel hugger from US for the past 2months. The dealer is ready to ship it to me but I'm unable to make the payment via paypal and western money transfer due RBI regulations. Any other options? I know, there is an option of somebody in US paying on my behalf and then getting it shipped to India. Any other method of payment you guys have did?

I have not used this service myself. But you can surely try out

            ICC World

They also quote you the amount including customs duty so no surprises later on.

thanks for the tip TV, I've heard of them but the customs duty surprise is what is keeping me away from them. let me investigate on it further.

If you have a credit card with Mastercard or Visa affiliation, it can be used for payment if the seller accepts it.

                    • Guys, How many of you have experienced valve noise coming from the engine. Its a tick tick noise which is prominent at around 3.5k revs in 6th gear. The manual recommends adjusting the valve clearances at the 12000 Kms service, but the PBK hadn't adjusted on my bike stating its best to leave the engine untouched unless there is a problem.

Are you really sure about this? I personally feel the product quality is sub par.

+1, agree with Vishwas. Personally speaking, I would upgrade to a Ninja 650R.

I havent faced any such issue. My bike is currently at a lil over 17k kms. At 12k kms the PBK guys will check valve clearances and adjust if needed.

I was also surprised cos the US ninja forums (ninjette.org) claim that they get valve clearances checked and adjusted at 600 miles or 1000 kms IIRC.

Don't delay getting this issue rectified. Head to PBK and ask them to check and adjust accordingly.

Apart from what Vishwas has said, i would also suggest you to hold on for a bit. The Hyosungs are nowhere in comparison to the japanese in terms of quality (even the ninja 250R). There are quite a few who are really unhappy with this bike and you can find used ones with less than 1k kms on the odo up for sale.

Wait for a bit. I heard that the KTM 690 is going to be here in a year or two and for a very competitive price.

KTM 690 is a single cylinder bike and is not really comparable with N650 or GT650. It has a different purpose in life.

It is supposed to be launched by April at approx. 5.5 - 6 L price.
