GUYS!!! i own a zma R white colour.i have got an issue with the scratches that are on ma bike.is there any way to remove them..kindly suggest

Today a car hit my ZMR on the silencer.. Luckily there was no fall but there was a BIG scratch on the silencer which looks white in color. Will a Teflon coating hides it or what can be done for it. Coz everyone on the first look was asking what happend.. Needs to avoid that

Teflon coating won't hide it... You'll have to color it... Find some suitable matching color or spray...

Guys.. Today maybe I'll go for a long tour on my ZMR to my friend's wedding... It's a sudden change of plan as no viable options (trains) are available after my practical exam gets over today (possibly 1 pm) to get to morena at 7 to 8 pm (462 kms away from Bhopal)... I've not planned anything going to get air and petrol filled and get starting problem checked (having for few days, bike starts after 2-3 cranks).. Any other things I need to ensure please tell... And wish me luck guys...

As the summer is full on, keep yourself hydrated most of the time, take a short break to have some liquid which keep you away from dehydration.

When ever you feel sluggish, off the engine and take rest for 10-15 mins. get full armored with your riding gears as you are going for long ride. check out the air pressure in tires before leaving, take a small ride say abt 70-100 km before you leave just to confirm your ZMR is in top notch condition and ready for long ride. Check disc breaks properly.

loose mirrors

the mirrors in my zmr become loose and i took it service yesterday and they tried changing the bolts. now though the loosening has stopped the bolt they have used looks odd !! it is gold in colour. are there any remedies?

SAMRAT,
Sticker that portion with MATT Black Vinyl Paper.
Myself have already done it.
Firstly it camouflages nicely and Secondly this stays for long.

Teflon will not hide it but some rubbing compound will lighten the white colour.

First check your bike's engine oil level,brakes,chain lubrication,and proper air pressure in tires...Keep the air about 1 to 2 psi less than recommended.WEAR PROTECTIVE RIDING GEAR.
Split your ride of 460+Kms like 120Km then rest for 15 min., 100 Kms then 15 min,100 kms 15min break, 75 Kms 10 min break,another 75 Kms and you are at your destination....the reason for varying Kms break is that you will be fresh at the start and fatigued at the end...KEEP YOUR SPEED AT 100 to 110 Kmph Only..So that both you and the engine will have less strain
Take Electrol in powder form with you ..Mix it with water and drink at every break.It contains all essential nutrient you loose through sweating.Take fruits both dry as well as Apple,Banana etc., which you like...Never ride with full stomach...you will get stomach upset and YOU MAY FALL ASLEEP.

aargh, its been so long that i visited this site(internet problems), anyways i need to clear something up -:

Sometimes my bike makes chirping sound from the rear part and front part(i am damn sure it is not from the disc) because the disc make like screech. i dont understand what's the problem.

Secondly my front left rear view mirror gets loose. it's the second incident today.

thirdly i feel a decrease in performance, like top - end and mid-range.(it reaches 60kmph at the beginning 4th gear only or else the engine might roar like hell).

and fourthly there are one-two nuts whose paint is going away. i mean it's hardly two months and the paint is fading??

The svc guy says ki your bike engine is getting wear and tear that's why the 60kmph issue(it's not even 2 month).

What should i do now??

as far as my knowledge goes....the bike under performs due to the temperature and the also the temperature of the air offered to burn the fuel....and its basic knowledge that colder air = better ride and hotter air = BHP loss/under perform...dont be bummed that your bike isn going fast...its cuz of the heat and also the air and also the heat in the atmosphere that is heating the engine externally...also do not forget that the air is not pure 100% cuz of the pollution and all the other factors well the engine dusn get the right food to eat you can say :P..our bike also heats a little faster cuz the bike's fairing is closed and boxes the engine area...so the heat kinda bounces around inside...
if you want to really see your bike and wana test if its in shape...get up one early morning like 4 am when the temperature is cold outside and go for a short spin...you will feel the difference...and if still your bike is underperforming...then you need help!

Talking from Personal experience. Might differ from others!
