Yes but I guess it is the dependability that is being addressed by HH..

Carrying a foot pump is no big deal on long tours, but removing tube and fixing the puncture is definitely a big deal. Moreover a TL can run several kms even with puncture but in TT without the so called gel, ull be big trouble.
    Yes agreed...
But given our road condition I wonder how long the TL will last without tube...

I will anyday go for a TL.
A very good article. I think it answers most of the questions.
I have stopped checking Earlier I used to get around 48. I am ok even if it gives me 40
    48 Kms/L ? on a ZMR ?

I shall check and let you know.

      even i m thinking of M62
FRONT / REAR for Stock MRF

      80 / 100 Section Width (mm)
      100 / 90 Aspect Ratio
      18 / 18 Rim Diameter (inches)
      47 / 56 Load Rating
      P Speed Rating

      ABHIJIT,

The above mentioned specs when converted comes as the following for MICHELIN M45.

      Front = 80 mm = 80/25.4 inch = 3.1496 inch = 3.15 inch equivalent for 3.00 - 18 with 52 (Load) & S (Speed)
      Rear = 100 mm = 100/25.4 inch = 3.937 inch = 3.90 inch = equivalent for 4.00 - 18 with 64 (Load) & S (Speed)

Probably the above details will help others for conversion.

Using M-45 @ Rear with TUBE.
Using M-62 @ Front with TUBE (Since M-45 was unavailable)

Changed just a FORTNIGHT ago @ 9600 kms. Stability is lot better. May be TOP Speed is suffering but early to conclude.

Did you notice any drop in mileage after changing your tyre?? Currently I'm getting 45+ in city conditions... Don't wanna lose that...
      LUVURBIKE,

You are getting an incredible mileage. Good roads & long trips I guess

Regarding the Nex Gen info I am also a part of that group and hence we are experimenting on some details.
As of now it holds true but may vary from TIRE or ALLOY wheel assembly also.

Yes, there are few who have got 50+ also

Coming to TT/TL. Biggest flaw is the puncture, so why does that puncture happens

Michelin has got a new tyre for scooters which doesn't need air in it . Hope something comes for bikes too.

Most importantly Hero Honda is trying to play too safe on its premium bike

Replace the words "I have to" with "I choose to" and notice the difference in how you feel.

Its not meant for front. Go with M45 if its available.

I had used K&N for hardly few kms on ZMR. I had plonked it inside the filter box. The sound was weird, it never sounded as it was supposed to. I got it rid of it very soon. With the K&N I felt the low and mid range was improved. Couldn't check the top speed.

Please don't put directly to mouth of FI. You may end up clogging the sensors and injector holes.

Engine oil, Motul is a good oil but W50 grade is way too much for ZMR. Engine will be smooth but can't revv high when the temperature is low. Stick with W40 grade synthetic at max.

This week am gonna put Shell Ultra FS.

So r u still using HH oil, yeah you are right W50 is too high for ZMR, W40 will do, so something like Motul 5W40? whats viscosity Shell Ultra FS is?

From my and couple of my friends past experience, with Motul 5W40 oil level drops drastically. Probably bcz its lower temperature viscosity is too low.

                      I think Shell is 10W40.

Its definitely not useless on the ZMR bcz the fuel is injected based on Real-Time air supply. But your fuel efficiency will go for a toss big time

Power may increase, say 0.2 or 0.3 hp for 1890rs(RC-1060) for filter and loss in mileage. Why you want to do that?

Few wants it just for the sake of sound
