I totally agree on this!! When there is a pillion on the back the tyre seems to just brush the chain guard and make mark on the tyre extreme end of the wall.. Same reason to opt for the half chain from the day one I say new ZMR but not sure how to do it..

I can't mention every little changes after the sprocket change. However, I can point out what all I noticed.

            1. The gearing of the bike is even taller now..
            2. The FE on highways will be better and that in city will reduce (minor)
            3. Give and Take policy works here.. you are giving up on Acceleration and taking the advantage of better top end.. Top end will increase by max 5 kmph.

Never noticed any changes in vibrations. they were the same if you ask me.
The loss in pick up/acceleration that you noticed is because of the sprocket change.. always remember, the more teeth you have in the rear sprocket, the better the acceleration but compromising on the top end and vice versa with less teeth, the better the top end compromising on the acceleration.

The More teeth you have up in front sprocket, the more the top end will increase and the acceleration drop. vice versa here as well..

Wow.... U ve cleared all my doubts in one shot
Thanks a lot..... I'm yet to check the top speed...... Will do it in the weekend...
What is the mileage u are getting????
I normally used to get around 45-48 in city n in highways it's around 50-51

I moved back to stock setup.. I can't change the sprockets every 8000 kms

I don't remember how much I used to get but the sprocket mod definitely reduces the FE in city...

Well, what I meant was, the P220's rear sprocket only lasted 8000 odd kms for me.. a couple of teeth broke off and I had to change it. I didn't want to keep doing this every 8000 kms as I know how poor Bajaj spares parts are..

P.S. please don't use SMS language in here else the mods will start thrashing you

I was greedy for top speed
But had no idea about the life of p220 sprockets

My bike stopped suddenly at a signal while returing from office. The bike refused to start even after 5-6 false self, I pulled the throttle and pressed the self and the engine came back to life. But got a feeling that it will stop any momment if I leave the throttle ideal.. After travelling about 1 KM or so things are back to normal and doesn't even stop at ideal throttle..

It has been 2 days since the problem occurred and now the bike is back to its normal, but I am still worried. Can anyone throw some light and please let me know what could be the reason? Anything that I need to check in the next service, which is due in few days...
